會將軍魁倫劾總督伍拉納、巡撫浦霖貪縱，並閩省庫藏虧絀事，命長麟按治，未得實，詔切責，乃奏婪索納賄狀。 When General Kuilun impeached Governor-General Wulana and Governor Pulin for corruption and for deficits in the Fujian treasury, Zhanglin was ordered to investigate. At first he found nothing and was sharply rebuked, but he then memorialized proof of extortion and bribery.

伍拉納故和珅姻戚，帝疑長麟瞻徇，並斥其平日沽名取巧，奪職，予副都統銜，赴葉爾羌辦事。 Wulana was related to Heshen by marriage. The emperor suspected Zhanglin of shielding him, rebuked his reputation-seeking ways, stripped him of office, gave him vice commander rank, and sent him to Yarkand.

喜聲伎，制行不謹，總督伍拉納欲劾之。 He was fond of music and performers and careless in his conduct, and Governor-General Wula Na sought to impeach him.

伍拉納故貪，逼勒屬吏財賄，复縱洋盜，盜艇集五虎門外不問。 Wula Na was notoriously corrupt, squeezed his subordinates for bribes, and winked at foreign pirates, whose vessels clustered outside the Five Tiger Gate unchecked.

魁倫遂疊疏劾閩省吏治廢弛，伍拉納及巡撫浦霖溺職，按察使錢受椿等迎合助虐。 Kui Lun then filed repeated memorials denouncing Fujian’s collapsed governance, accusing Wula Na and Governor Pu Lin of neglecting duty and Surveillance Commissioner Qian Shouchun and others of flattering their superiors and aiding abuse.

上怒，褫伍拉納等職逮問，命長麟署總督，偕魁倫鞫訊，得伍拉納等貪婪及庫藏虧絀狀，俱伏法。 The emperor flew into a rage, stripped Wula Na and his associates of rank and ordered them arrested; he appointed Chang Lin acting governor-general and had him investigate jointly with Kui Lun. Their corruption and the treasury shortfalls were proved, and all were put to death.

伍拉納為和珅姻戚，當按治時，上切責長麟瞻徇，罷去，以事由魁倫舉發，特寬之，代署總督，嚴捕海盜，屢獲其魁。 Wula Na was related by marriage to Heshen. During the prosecution the emperor sharply rebuked Chang Lin for partiality and dismissed him. Because Kui Lun had brought the matter to light, he was treated with special leniency, made acting governor-general, waged a vigorous campaign against pirates, and repeatedly took their ringleaders.
