公孫臣明服色，新垣平設五廟。 Gongsun Chen clarified the ritual vestments and colors, while Xin Yuanping established the five ancestral temples.

後元年冬十月，新垣平詐覺，謀反，夷三族。 In the tenth month of winter in the first year of the Later reign, Xin Yuanping's fraud was exposed. He had plotted rebellion, and his three clans were exterminated.
