廣東賊顏品瑤擾南寧、太平，崇光駐兵南邕，與廣東軍合擊，屢戰皆捷，品瑤就殲，又平貴縣賊，被優敘。 The Guangdong rebel Yan Pinyao harassed Nanning and Taiping; Chongguang stationed troops at Nanyong and joined Guangdong forces in attack, winning repeated victories; Pinyao was destroyed and rebels in Guixian were also pacified; he received preferential commendation.

偕左江鎮總兵谷韞燦平白山賊，舉行南、太、泗、鎮四府團練，殲顏品瑤餘黨於靈山，加頭品頂戴。 Together with Zuojiang garrison commander Gu Yuncan he pacified rebels on Baishan, organized militia in the four prefectures of Nanning, Taiping, Si, and Zhen, destroyed Pinyao's remnant followers at Lingshan, and was granted the first-rank button.
