延皓禦軍失政，為屯將張令昭所逐，出奔相州，尋詔停所任。 Yanhao governed the army badly; the garrison officer Zhang Lingzhao expelled him, he fled to Xiangzhou, and soon an edict stripped him of office.

及出鎮大名，而所執一變，掠人財賄，納人園宅，聚歌僮為長夜之飲，而三軍所給不時，內外怨之，因為令昭所逐。 But when he went out to command at Daming his conduct changed entirely: he seized people's wealth as bribes, took their gardens and residences, gathered singing boys for all-night drinking, and paid the three armies' supplies irregularly; inside and outside complained of him, and thereby he was expelled by Lingzhao.

壬子，天雄軍屯駐捧聖都虞候張令昭逐其節度使劉延皓。 On renzi Zhang Lingzhao, deputy of the Bearer-of-Sagacity command at the Tianxiong encampment, drove out his military governor Liu Yanhao.

六月癸亥，以令昭為右千牛衛將軍，權知天雄軍事。 On guihai of the sixth month Lingzhao was made a general of the Right Thousand-Ox Guard and left in temporary charge of Tianxiong.

壬子，張令昭伏誅。 On renzi Zhang Lingzhao was put to death.

佗命官不書「以」，此書「以」者，明令昭猶可「以」。 Other appointments do not use the word “by.” It is used here to show that Lingzhao could still be appointed.
