六年，戰通城，運蘭設三伏，營前斬賊酋張庸忠，擒魯三元，克通城，又大破賊於崇陽白蜺橋，賜花翎。 In 1856, at Tongcheng, Yunlan laid three ambushes, slew the rebel chief Zhang Yongzhong before his own lines, captured Lu Sanyuan, and took the city; he then routed the enemy again at Baini Bridge in Chongyang and was awarded the peacock feather.
