是月，左良玉擊降賊首李萬慶。 That month Zuo Liangyu attacked and forced the rebel chief Li Wanqing to submit.

秋七月壬申，左良玉討張獻忠，敗績于羅猴山，總兵官羅岱被執死之。 In the seventh month of autumn, on renshen, Zuo Liangyu marched against Zhang Xianzhong and was routed at Luohou Mountain; regional commander Luo Dai was captured and executed.

甲午，左良玉為平賊將軍。 On jiawu Zuo Liangyu was appointed General for Pacifying the Bandits.
