In the first month of the first year of the Jianzhong Jingguo era, on the day guihai, a star as large as a bowl appeared in the southwest, streaked swiftly northeast, and vanished at the spaced star of the Tail; it was blue-black, left no tail-trail, and shone brightly enough to light the ground.

In the third month of the first year of the Chongning era, on the day gengchen, a star like Venus appeared from the Spread, streaked swiftly southwest, and vanished at the Turbid; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and its light lit the ground. In the fifth month, on the day dingmao, a star as large as a cup appeared from the Tail, drifted slowly southwest, and vanished in the Turbid; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and shone brightly enough to illuminate the ground. In the intercalary sixth month, on the day guiyou, a star appeared from the Dipper and drifted slowly southwest until it vanished at Jian; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and was followed by several smaller stars. In the eighth month, on the day jiwei, a star as large as a cup appeared from the Feathered Forest Army, streaked swiftly, and vanished at the Turbid; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and its light lit the ground. In the tenth month, on the day renzi, a star as large as a bowl appeared from the Celestial Boat, streaked swiftly, and vanished at the Five Chariots; it was blue-black, had a tail-trail, and made a rumbling sound. In the ninth month, on the day guimao, a star as large as a cup appeared from the Celestial Boat, drifted slowly, and vanished at the Various Lords; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and its light lit the ground. In the twelfth month, on the day renxu, a star appeared from the Stride, streaked swiftly south, and vanished at the Celestial Granary; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail more than thirty feet long, shone brightly enough to light the ground, and its sound scattered like ripping silk.

In the seventh month, on the day gengxu, a star as large as a cup appeared from the Winnowing Basket, streaked swiftly southwest, and vanished in the Turbid; it was red-yellow, left no tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the twelfth month of the second year, on the day guimao, a star as large as a bowl appeared from the Stride, streaked swiftly northwest, and vanished at Zaofu; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, and made a sound.

In the ninth month of the second year, on the day yimao, a star as large as a cup appeared from the Dipper, streaked swiftly southwest, and vanished in the Turbid; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the fourth month of the third year, on the day bingshen, a star as large as a bowl appeared from the Heart, streaked swiftly southwest, and vanished at the Accumulated Soldiers; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the ninth month of the fourth year, on the day gengzi, a star as large as a bowl appeared from the Tomb, streaked swiftly southeast, and vanished at the Feathered Forest Army; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the twelfth month of the seventh year, on the day jiazi, a star as large as a bowl appeared southeast of the Stomach, streaked swiftly northwest, and vanished at the Celestial Great General; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly.

In the third month of the first year of the Xuanhe era, on the day dingmao, a star as large as a bowl appeared from the Willow, streaked swiftly northeast, and entered the Supreme Palace Enclosure; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the tenth month, on the day wuzi, a star as large as a bowl appeared from Clouds and Rain, drifted slowly southwest, and vanished inside the Feathered Forest Army; it was blue-white and lit the ground brightly. In the sixth month of the second year, on the day gengyin, a star like Venus appeared south of the Root. It streaked swiftly northeast into the Celestial Market Enclosure and left no tail-trail. In the twelfth month, on the day xinsi, a star as large as a cup appeared southwest of the Stride, drifted slowly southwest, and vanished in the north; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the seventh month of the third year, on the day guiwei, a star like Venus appeared from the Dipper, streaked swiftly southeast, and vanished in the Turbid; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the eleventh month of the fourth year, on the day bingyin, a star as large as a cup appeared north of Wang Liang, streaked swiftly, and vanished north of the Upper Assistant inside the Purple Palace Enclosure; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the second month of the fifth year, on the day bingwu, a star as large as a cup appeared northeast of the North River, drifted slowly southeast, and vanished at the Axletree; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the seventh month of the sixth year, on the day dingyou, a star as large as a bowl appeared from the Solar Sentinel, streaked swiftly northeast, and vanished in the Turbid; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly. In the eleventh month of the seventh year, on the day wuzi, a star as large as a cup appeared north of Wang Liang, streaked swiftly to the region north of the Upper Assistant in the Purple Palace Enclosure; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and lit the ground brightly.

In the third month of the second year, on the day jiawu, a star appeared southwest of the Canopy of the Purple Palace Enclosure. On the day yimao, a star appeared from the Horn. On the day dingsi, a star appeared from the Right Pivot star of the Purple Palace Enclosure. On the day wuwu, a star appeared southwest of the great star of the Chariot Shaft. In the intercalary fourth month, on the day yisi, a star appeared north of the Right Enforcer on the west side of the Supreme Palace Enclosure. In the tenth month of the fifth year, on the day renxu, a star appeared southeast of the Encampment; it was red-yellow and unusually large. In the tenth month of the sixth year, on the day renzi, a star appeared northwest of the Wall. In the eighth month of the seventh year, on the day renyin, a star fell at Bian. In the eleventh month of the eighth year, on the day yisi, a star appeared northeast of the Celestial Granary. In the fifth month of the ninth year, on the day guiwei, a star appeared southeast of the Room. In the eighth month of the seventeenth year, on the day jiwei, a star appeared from the Rooftop, drifted slowly, and vanished at the Coiled Thong; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, and was as large as Venus. In the sixth month of the twenty-sixth year, on the day dinghai, a star appeared in the northeast, its light shining on the ground. In the sixth month of the twenty-eighth year, on the day wuxu, a star fell during the day; its tail was more than thirty feet long, and it vanished in the northwest. In the eighth month of the twenty-ninth year, on the day wuyin, a star about three feet long appeared southwest of the Purple Palace Enclosure; it was red-yellow, streaked swiftly southwest, and vanished northeast of the great star of Gouchen. In the sixth month of the thirty-first year, on the day yimao, a star appeared from the Right Conductor; it was red-white, streaked swiftly southeast and vanished, had a tail-trail, and was as large as Jupiter. On the day dingsi, a star appeared; it was blue-white, streaked swiftly from the northeast to the southeast and vanished, had a tail-trail, and was as large as a bowl rim. On the day jiazi, a star appeared from the Root; it was red-yellow, drifted slowly, and vanished at the Celestial Field of the Horn, starting small and growing large like Venus, with smaller stars following behind. In the ninth month, on the day renwu, a star fell during the day; it was about thirty feet long.

On the day bingwu another star appeared from the Celestial Market Enclosure, drifted slowly, and vanished at the Root; it was blue-white, had a slight tail-trail, and was as small as Saturn. On the day guichou, a star appeared from the Weaving Maid, streaked swiftly, and vanished northwest of the Coiled Thong; it was blue-white, as bright and large as Saturn, and lit the ground. On the day bingchen, a star appeared from the Imperial Road, streaked swiftly, and vanished southwest of the Celestial Club; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and was as small as Saturn. In the eighth month, on the day gengshen, a star appeared from the Feathered Forest Army; it was red-yellow, streaked swiftly southeast, and vanished at the Turbid. On the day wuchen, a star appeared from the Emptiness; it was red-yellow, streaked swiftly, and vanished southwest of the Ox. On the day renshen, a star appeared from the Celestial Market Enclosure; it was red-blue, drifted slowly, and vanished northwest of the Western Shaman. On the day guiyou, a star appeared from the Wall; it was red-yellow, streaked swiftly, struck Wang Liang, and vanished, looking like Venus. On the day bingzi, a star appeared from the gate of the Feathered Forest Army; it was blue-white, drifted slowly along a winding path, and vanished in the southeastern Turbid. On the day xinsi, a star appeared from the Southern Dipper; it was red-yellow, drifted slowly into the Feathered Forest Army and vanished, had a tail-trail, and was as large as Venus; next another star, red-yellow and also with a tail-trail like Venus, appeared from the Clouds and Rain star, drifted slowly southwest, and vanished below the Woman. On the day wuzi, a star appeared southeast of the gate of the Feathered Forest Army, drifted slowly, and vanished at the Turbid; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, and was as large as Saturn. Another star, blue-white, appeared from the Celestial Granary, streaked swiftly southeast, had a tail-trail, was as small as Jupiter, and vanished at the Turbid. In the ninth month, on the day gengxu, a star appeared from the outer seat of the Purple Palace Enclosure; it was red-yellow, streaked swiftly northwest, and vanished at the Minister of Works star of the inner seat. In the eleventh month, on the day gengyin, a star appeared from the Axletree, streaked swiftly southeast, and vanished at the Cavalry Officer star; it was red-yellow, had a tail-trail, and was as large as Jupiter. On the day dingwei, a flying star appeared from the Celestial Boat, streaked swiftly, and vanished northwest of the inner kitchen of the outer seat of the Purple Palace Enclosure, bursting into two smaller stars; it was blue-white, had a tail-trail, lit the ground, and was as large as Jupiter. In the second month of the second year, on the day xinyou, a flying star appeared from the Balance star, drifted slowly, and vanished southwest of the great star of the Five Emperors' Seat inside the Supreme Palace Enclosure; it was blue-white, had a slight tail-trail, and was as large as Jupiter. In the sixth month, on the day dingchou, a star appeared from Wang Liang; it was blue-white, streaked swiftly, struck the Celestial Ford, and vanished to its southwest. On the day jimao, a flying star appeared from Zaofu, streaked swiftly, and vanished southeast of the great star of Gouchen inside the Purple Palace Enclosure; it was blue-white and as large as Saturn. On the day xinhai, a star appeared from the Celestial Pass, streaked swiftly through the mouth of the Net, and vanished in the northwest; it had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, was as large as Venus, and was red-yellow. In the tenth month, on the day bingchen, a star appeared from the State of Zhao, drifted slowly southwest, struck the eastern star of Zhao, and vanished; it had a tail-trail, was as large as Saturn, and was red-yellow. On the day xinhai, a star appeared from the South River, drifted slowly southeast, and vanished at the Wings; it had a slight tail-trail, was as large as Venus, and was red-yellow. In the twelfth month, on the day renwu, a star appeared from the Bow and Arrow, streaked southeast, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, was as large as Venus, and was blue-white.

On the day jiazi, a star appeared from the Spread, drifted slowly southwest, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, was as large as Venus, and was red-yellow. In the fifth month, on the day dingchou, a white star appeared from the Drum at the River, drifted slowly northeast, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, and was as large as Venus. In the sixth month, on the day jiachen, a star appeared in the northeast, drifted slowly southwest, and vanished; it had a tail-trail and made a sound, was as large as Venus, and was red-yellow. In the seventh month, on the day renxu, a star appeared in the southwest, drifted slowly southeast, and vanished; it was as large as Jupiter and red-yellow. In the ninth month of the sixth year, on the day xinsi, a star appeared from the Wolf star, entered the Bow and Arrow, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a slight tail-trail, was as large as Saturn, and was red-yellow. In the tenth month, on the day gengxu, a star appeared from the Celestial Round Granary, streaked swiftly, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail, was as large as Jupiter, and was red-yellow. In the seventh month of the seventh year, on the day wuxu, a star as large as a fist streaked northwest and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail and lit the ground like lightning. In the ninth month, on the day jiawu, a cloud-piercing star appeared, streaked southwest, and vanished at the Turbid; it was more than ten feet high, had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, was as large as Venus, and was blue-white.

In the eighth month of the sixth year, on the day renchen, a star appeared from the great star of Gouchen in the Purple Palace Enclosure, drifted slowly, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail, was as large as a cup opening, and was blue-white. In the fifth month of the seventh year, on the day yihai, a star appeared from the Eastern Sea star inside the Celestial Market Enclosure, drifted slowly, and burst into three smaller stars; it had a tail-trail, lit the ground, was as large as a cup opening, and was blue-white. In the eighth month, on the day dingwei, a star appeared northwest of the great star of the Coiled Thong, streaked swiftly, and vanished at the Turbid; it had a tail-trail, lit the ground brightly, was as large as Venus, and was blue-white. In the fourth month of the eleventh year, on the day yichou, a star appeared from the center of the sky, drifted slowly northeast, and vanished; it had a slight tail-trail, burst into accompanying smaller stars with a sound, was as bright and large as Venus, and was blue-white.
