Seventh month, guiwei, the moon trespassed against the Heart asterism. Celestial Phenomena 3 places this in the seventh month of Taihe 3, on dingwei. Celestial Phenomena 3 records lunar changes largely drawn from Celestial Phenomena 2. That year the seventh month began on xinchou; dingwei is the seventh day—there is no guiwei. Here "guiwei" should be a corruption for "dingwei."

The Dian edition's textual verification says: "Of the two characters 'Northern River,' one must be a corruption for 'Southern River,' or one is duplicated." Celestial Phenomena 3, note to the Taihe 5 entry, reads "Eastern Well, Chariot Axle, Northern River"; the upper "Northern River" probably should read "Chariot Axle," corrupted through the following "Northern River."

Twentieth year, seventh month, Empress Feng was deposed. All editions read "seventh month" as "tenth month." Fascicle 7, Part 2, Basic Annals of Gaozu, places the event in the seventh month of that year. Celestial Phenomena 4, Taihe 18 entry, also has "seventh month." Here the character "ten" is a corruption for "seven"; the text is emended accordingly.

Twentieth year, second month, Regional Inspector of Hengzhou Mu Tai plotted rebellion and was executed, with many implicated. Fascicle 7, Part 2, Basic Annals of Gaozu, twelfth month of Taihe 20, wuchen, records "Regional Inspector of Hengzhou Mu Tai and others plotted rebellion in the province." Twenty-first year, second month, guiyou, records Yuan Hong "arriving at Pingcheng"; Mu Tai and others were sentenced at that time. Here "twentieth year" should read "twenty-first year"—the character "one" is missing.

Attendant-in-Ordinary Zhang Qiyu of Xiao Baojuan killed Baojuan. Fascicle 8, Basic Annals of Shizong, twelfth month of Jingming 2, and Fascicle 98, biography of Xiao Daocheng, record "Zhang Qi" without the character "yu"; Southern Qi shu juan 7, Annals of the Deposed Lord of the East, and Zizhi tongjian juan 144 〈p. 4507〉 all read "Zhang Qi." Here the character "yu" is probably a spurious addition.

Left General Yang Zhi routed them decisively. All editions corrupt "Zhi" to "She"; the Dian edition's textual verification, citing Fascicle 8, Basic Annals of Shizong, first month of Jingming 4, yihai, holds that "the character 'She' is a corruption for 'Zhi.'" The event is also seen in Fascicle 89, biography of Yang Zhi 〈Supplement〉 , and the text is corrected accordingly.

On wuxu, the moon haloed three stars of Five Chariots, Eastern Well, Southern River, Northern River, Chariot, and Saturn. Celestial Phenomena 4, note to the Zhengshi 3 entry, places this in the first month of the first year, on wuwu. That year the first month began on wushen; wuwu is the eleventh day—there is no wuxu; here "wuxu" should be a corruption for "wuwu."

諸犯罪者恕死從流已下減降按卷八世宗紀延昌二年八月辛卯詔稱：「其殺人、掠賣人 〈中略〉 依法行決，自餘恕死，徒流已下，各準減降。」 這裏概括為「諸犯罪者恕死」，既與詔書不符，「從」字也當是「徒」之訛。
All criminals were pardoned from death and reduced one grade from exile downward. Fascicle 8, Basic Annals of Shizong, eighth month of Yanqi 2, xinmao edict says: "Those who kill or kidnap and sell people 〈middle omitted〉 shall be executed according to law; all others are pardoned from death, and those sentenced to hard labor or exile downward are each reduced one grade." Here it is summarized as "all criminals pardoned from death," which does not match the edict; the character "from" is a corruption for "hard labor (tu)."

三年六月南荊州刺史桓叔興破蕭衍軍於九江諸本「三」作「二」，「桓叔興」作「栢叔輿」。 按卷八世宗紀延昌三年六月記此事，作「桓叔興」。 「桓叔興」又見卷一０一蠻傳，梁書卷三武帝紀三普通二年七月。 這裏「二」字和「栢」「輿」字皆訛，今改正。
Sixth month of the third year, Regional Inspector of Southern Jing Huan Shuxing routed Xiao Yan's army at Jiujiang. All editions read "three" as "two" and "Huan Shuxing" as "Bai Shuyu." Fascicle 8, Basic Annals of Shizong, sixth month of Yanqi 3, records this event as "Huan Shuxing." "Huan Shuxing" also appears in Fascicle 101, biography of the Man, and Liang shu juan 3, Basic Annals of Emperor Wu, third, seventh month of Putong 2. Here the character "two" and the characters "Bai" and "yu" are all corrupt; the text is corrected accordingly.
