二年春正月壬戌，太陰犯右執法。甲子，太陰犯角宿。乙丑，宿松縣地震，山裂。丁卯，太陰犯房宿。是月，置都水庸田使司於平江。

In the second year, on the renxu day of the first month of spring, the moon transgressed the Right Enforcer. On the jiazi day, the moon transgressed the Horn mansion. On the yichou day, Susong County was struck by an earthquake and mountains split open. On the dingmao day, the moon transgressed the Room mansion. That month the Directorate of Water Control and Government Granaries was established at Pingjiang.

三月戊申，以阿裏海牙家藏書畫賜伯顏。甲寅，以按灰為大宗正府也可劄魯忽赤，總掌天下奸盜詐偽。丁巳，以累朝御服朱衣、七寶項牌賜伯顏。庚申，日赤如赭，壬戌，復如之。賜征東元帥府軍士冬衣及甲。諸軍討廣西徭，久無功，敕行省、行臺、廉訪司官共督之。順州民饑，以鈔四千錠賑之。夜，太陰犯心宿。癸亥，日赤如赭。甲子，太陰犯箕宿。乙丑，太陰犯南斗。賜宗王火兒灰母答裏鈔一千錠。以撒敦上都居第賜太保定住，仍敕有司籍撒敦家財。甲戌，復四川鹽井之禁。以按答木兒家人田宅賜太保定住。以汪家奴為宣政院使，加金紫光祿大夫。造武宗、英宗、明宗三朝皇后玉冊、玉寶。是月，陜西暴風，旱，無麥。

On the wushen day of the third month, the paintings and calligraphy from Arighaiya's household collection were bestowed on Bayan. On the jiayin day, Anqa was appointed chief jarquchi of the Office of the Imperial Clan, charged with overseeing fraud and theft throughout the realm. On the dingsi day, imperial robes of vermilion and seven-jeweled neck plaques from successive reigns were bestowed on Bayan. On the gengshen day the sun was red as ochre, and on the renxu day it was again so. Winter clothing and armor were bestowed on the soldiers of the Eastern Campaign Marshalate. The armies campaigning against the Yao in Guangxi had long achieved no success. An edict ordered officials of the branch secretariat, branch censorate, and surveillance commission to supervise the campaign jointly. The people of Shun Prefecture were starving. Four thousand ingots of paper money were issued for relief. That night the moon transgressed the Heart mansion. On the guihai day the sun was red as ochre. On the jiazi day, the moon transgressed the Winnowing Basket mansion. On the yichou day, the moon transgressed the Southern Dipper. Prince Qorqas was granted one thousand ingots of paper money for his mother Dali. Sadun's residence at Shangdu was bestowed on Dingzhu, and the authorities were further ordered to register Sadun's household property. On the jiaxu day, the prohibition on Sichuan salt wells was restored. The fields and dwellings of Andamur's household were bestowed on Dingzhu. Wangjianu was appointed commissioner of the Bureau of Buddhist and Tibetan Affairs and promoted to Grand Master of Splendid Happiness with Golden Seal and Blue Ribbon. Jade registers and jade seals were made for the empresses of the Wuzong, Yingzong, and Mingzong reigns. That month Shaanxi suffered violent winds and drought, and there was no wheat harvest.

夏四月丁丑朔，日赤如赭。禁民間私造格例。戊寅，封駙馬孛羅帖木兒為毓德王。丙戌，太陰犯角宿。丁亥，禁服麒麟、鸞鳳、白兔、靈芝、雙角五爪龍、八龍、九龍、萬壽、福壽字、赭黃等服。庚寅，以知樞密院事帖木兒不華為中書平章政事，撒迪為御史大夫。甲午，遣使以香、幣賜武當、龍虎二山。詔以太平路為郯王徹徹禿食邑；以集慶、廬州、饒州禿禿哈民戶賜伯顏，仍於句容縣設長官所領之。戊戌，車駕時巡上都。拜中書左丞耿煥為侍御史，王懋德為中書左丞。賜宗室灰裏王金一錠、鈔一千錠，毓德王孛羅帖木兒鈔三千錠，公主八八鈔二千錠。

On the dingchou new moon of the fourth month of summer, the sun was red as ochre. The private manufacture of legal precedents among the people was prohibited. On the wuyin day, the imperial son-in-law Boluotiemuer was enfeoffed as Prince of Cultivated Virtue. On the bingxu day, the moon transgressed the Horn mansion. On the dinghai day, it was forbidden to wear garments bearing qilin, phoenixes, white rabbits, spirit fungus, double-horned five-clawed dragons, eight dragons, nine dragons, the characters for "ten thousand years of life" and "fortune and longevity," ochre-yellow, and the like. On the gengyin day, Temür Buqa, vice director of the Bureau of Military Affairs, was appointed associate administrator of the Secretariat, and Sadi was appointed censor-in-chief. On the jiawu day, envoys were dispatched to bestow incense and silks on Mount Wudang and Mount Longhu. An edict made Taiping Circuit the fief of Prince Chechetu of Tan. The tutuqa households of Jiqing, Luzhou, and Raozhou were bestowed on Bayan, and a chief magistrate's office was established at Jurong County to administer them. On the wuxu day, the imperial carriage traveled seasonally to Shangdu. Geng Huan, left vice director of the Secretariat, was appointed investigating censor, and Wang Maode was appointed left vice director of the Secretariat. Prince Huoli of the imperial clan was granted one ingot of gold and one thousand ingots of paper money; the Prince of Cultivated Virtue Boluotiemuer received three thousand ingots; Princess Baba received two thousand ingots.

五月丙午朔，黃河復於故道。庚戌，太陰犯靈臺。乙卯，南陽、鄧州大霖雨，自是日至於六月甲申，湍河、白河大溢，水為災。丙辰，太白晝見，丁巳，亦如之。壬申，秦州山崩。是月，婺州不雨，至於六月。

On the bingwu new moon of the fifth month, the Yellow River returned to its former course. On the gengxu day, the moon transgressed the Heavenly Terrace. On the yimao day, Nanyang and Dengzhou suffered torrential rains. From that day until the jiashen day of the sixth month, the Tuan and Bai rivers overflowed greatly and caused flooding. On the bingchen day Venus was visible in daylight, and on the dingsi day it was again so. On the renshen day, mountains collapsed in Qin Prefecture. That month Wuzhou had no rain until the sixth month.

六月丁丑，禁諸王、駙馬從衛服只孫衣，系絳環。贈宗王忽都答兒為雲安王，謚忠武；羅羅歹為保寧王，謚昭勇。庚辰，命中書平章政事阿吉剌知經筵事。戊子，以鐵木兒補化為江浙行省左丞相。太白犯井宿。辛卯，以汴梁、大名諸路脫別臺地土賜伯顏。禮部侍郎忽裏臺請復科舉取士之制，不聽。庚子，涇水溢。辛丑，以鈔五千錠賜吳王搠失江。

On the dingchou day of the sixth month, princes, imperial sons-in-law, and their guards were forbidden to wear zhisun garments fastened with crimson rings. Prince Qutudar was posthumously enfeoffed as Prince of Yun'an, with the posthumous title Loyal and Martial; Luoluodai was enfeoffed as Prince of Baoning, with the posthumous title Illustrious and Brave. On the gengchen day, Associate Administrator Ajili was ordered to oversee the Classics Colloquium. On the wuzi day, Temür Buqa was appointed left director of the Jiangzhe Branch Secretariat. Venus transgressed the Well mansion. On the xinmao day, the lands of the Tuobietai platform in Bianliang, Daming, and other circuits were bestowed on Bayan. Hulitai, vice minister of rites, requested restoration of the civil service examination system; the request was not granted. On the gengzi day, the Jing River overflowed. On the xinchou day, five thousand ingots of paper money were bestowed on Prince Wu, Toghto Jiang.

秋七月丙午，詔以公主奴倫引者思之地五千頃賜伯顏。以衛輝路賜衛王寬徹哥為食邑。己酉，太白犯鬼宿。庚戌，以定住、鎖南參議中書省事。壬子，發阿魯哈、不蘭奚駱駝一百一十上供太皇太后乘輿之用。乙卯，太白犯熒惑。庚申，禁隔越中書口傳敕旨，冒支錢糧。甲子，命有司以所籍撒敦寶器分賜伯顏及太保定住。乙丑，中書平章政事孛羅徙宅，賜金二錠、銀十錠。庚午，敕賜上都孔子廟碑，載累朝尊崇之意。省諸王、公主、駙馬從衛糧賜之數。癸酉，命宗王不蘭奚，駙馬月魯不花、帖古思、教化鎮薛連可、怯魯連之地，各賜鈔六百錠及銀牌遣之。是月，黃州蝗，督民捕之，人日五斗。以鈔二千錠賑新收阿速軍扈從車駕者，每戶鈔二錠，死者人一錠。

On the bingwu day of the seventh month of autumn, an edict bestowed on Bayan five thousand qing of land at Nulun Yinzhe'si belonging to the princess. Weihui Circuit was made the fief of Prince Wei, Kanchüke. On the jiyou day, Venus transgressed the Ghost mansion. On the gengxu day, Dingzhu and Suonan were appointed to deliberate on Secretariat affairs. On the renzi day, one hundred ten camels from Aruqa and Buranxi were dispatched as tribute for the empress dowager's carriage. On the yimao day, Venus transgressed Mars. On the gengshen day, it was forbidden to bypass the Secretariat with orally transmitted edicts and to draw funds and grain improperly. On the jiazi day, the authorities were ordered to distribute the confiscated treasures of Sadun between Bayan and Dingzhu. On the yichou day, Associate Administrator Boluo moved his residence and was granted two ingots of gold and ten ingots of silver. On the gengwu day, an edict bestowed a stele on the Confucian temple at Shangdu, recording how successive reigns had honored Confucius. The quantities of grain bestowed to the guards of princes, princesses, and imperial sons-in-law were reduced. On the guiyou day, Prince Buranxi and the imperial sons-in-law Yulubuhua, Tegüs, and Jiaohua were ordered to guard the lands of Xuelianke and Qielulian. Each was granted six hundred ingots of paper money and a silver plaque and sent forth. That month Huang Prefecture suffered locusts. The people were ordered to catch them at a rate of five dou per person per day. Two thousand ingots of paper money were issued to relieve the newly enrolled Asud guards accompanying the imperial carriage: two ingots per household, and one ingot for each deceased person.

八月甲戌朔，日有食之。高郵大雨雹。詔：「雲南、廣海、八番及甘肅、四川邊遠官死而不能歸葬者，有司給糧食舟車護送還鄉。去鄉遠者，加鈔二十錠；無親屬者，官為瘞之。」命威順王寬徹不花還鎮湖廣。先是，伯顏矯制召之至京，至是帝遣歸藩。戊寅，祭社稷。大都至通州霖雨，大水，敕軍人修道。己卯，太陰犯心宿。辛巳，太陰犯箕宿。辛卯，以徽政院、中政院財賦府田租六萬三千三百石補本年海運未敷之數，令有司歸其直。壬辰，立屯衛於馬劄罕之地。庚子，詔：「強盜皆死，盜牛馬者劓，盜驢騾者黥額，再犯劓，盜羊豕者墨項，再犯黥，三犯劓；劓後再犯者死。盜諸物者，照其數估價。省、院、臺、五府官三年一次審決。著為令。」辛丑，減馬湖路泥溪、平夷、蠻夷、夷都、沐川、雷坡六長官司，並為三。九月庚戌，熒惑犯太微垣。癸亥，弛鞏昌總帥府漢人軍器之禁。戊辰，車駕還自上都。海運糧至京，遣官致祭天妃。是月，臺州路饑，發義倉、募富人出粟賑之。沅州路盧陽縣饑，賑糶米六千石。

On the jiaxu new moon of the eighth month, there was a solar eclipse. Gaoyou suffered a great hailstorm. An edict declared: "For officials in remote border posts of Yunnan, Guanghai, the Eight Circuits, Gansu, and Sichuan who die and cannot be returned home for burial, the authorities shall provide grain, boats, and carts to escort them home. For those far from home, twenty additional ingots of paper money were added; for those without kin, the government shall bury them." Prince Weishun, Kanchübuqa, was ordered to return and guard Huguang. Earlier Bayan had forged an edict summoning him to the capital; now the emperor sent him back to his fief. On the wuyin day, sacrifice was offered at the altars of soil and grain. From Dadu to Tongzhou there was torrential rain and great flooding. Soldiers were ordered to repair the roads. On the jimao day, the moon transgressed the Heart mansion. On the xinsi day, the moon transgressed the Winnowing Basket mansion. On the xinmao day, sixty-three thousand three hundred shi of rent grain from the revenue estates of the Bureau of Palace Provisions and the Bureau of Imperial Household Revenue were used to make up the shortfall in that year's sea transport, and the authorities were ordered to repay its value. On the renchen day, a garrison guard was established in the land of Majahan. On the gengzi day, an edict declared: "All robbers shall be put to death. Those who steal cattle and horses shall have their noses cut off; those who steal donkeys and mules shall be tattooed on the forehead, and on a second offense their noses shall be cut off; those who steal sheep and pigs shall be inked on the neck, on a second offense tattooed, and on a third offense their noses shall be cut off; those who offend again after having their noses cut off shall be put to death. Those who steal other goods shall be assessed according to their number and estimated value. Officials of the Secretariat, Censorate, surveillance institutions, and the Five Offices shall review and decide cases once every three years. This was established as a statute." On the xinchou day, the six chief-official offices of Nixi, Pingyi, Manyi, Yidu, Muchuan, and Leipo in Mahu Circuit were reduced and combined into three. On the gengxu day of the ninth month, Mars transgressed the Supreme Palace Enclosure. On the guihai day, the prohibition on weapons for Han people in the Gongchang Marshalate was relaxed. On the wuchen day, the imperial carriage returned from Shangdu. When the sea-transport grain reached the capital, officials were dispatched to offer sacrifice to the Celestial Consort. That month Taizhou Circuit was in famine. Charity granaries were opened and the wealthy were enlisted to contribute grain for relief. Luyang County in Yuan Prefecture Circuit was starving. Six thousand shi of rice were issued for relief sale.

冬十月丙子，熒惑犯左執法。己卯，享於太廟。丙申，命參知政事納麟監繪明宗皇帝御容。丁酉，太陰犯昴宿。己亥，詔：「每日，右丞相伯顏，太保定住，中書平章政事孛羅、阿吉剌聚議於內廷。平章政事塔失海牙，右丞鞏卜班，參知政事納麟、許有壬等聚議於中書。」太陰犯進賢。是月，撫州、袁州、瑞州諸路饑，發米六萬石賑糶之。

On the bingzi day of the tenth month of winter, Mars transgressed the Left Enforcer. On the jimao day, sacrifice was offered at the Imperial Ancestral Temple. On the bingshen day, Vice Administrator Nalin was ordered to supervise the painting of Emperor Mingzong's imperial portrait. On the dingyou day, the moon transgressed the Hairy Head mansion. On the jihai day, an edict declared: "Each day, Right Chancellor Bayan, Dingzhu, and Associate Administrators Boluo and Ajili shall deliberate in the inner court. Associate Administrator Tashihaiya, Right Vice Director Gongbuban, and Vice Administrators Nalin, Xu Youren, and others shall deliberate at the Secretariat." The moon transgressed Advancing Worthies. That month Fuzhou, Yuanzhou, and Ruizhou circuits were in famine. Sixty thousand shi of rice were issued for relief sale.

十一月己酉，太陰犯壘壁陣。壬子，以那海為湖廣行省平章政事，討廣西叛徭。武宗、英宗、明宗三朝皇后升祔入廟，命官致祭。丁巳，遣河南行省平章政事月珞普華於西番為僧。己未，太陰犯壘壁陣。辛酉，賜宣讓王帖木兒不花市宅錢四千錠，詔帖木兒不花王府官屬，朝賀班次列於有司之右。壬戌，命同知樞密院事者燕不花兼宮相都總管府達魯花赤，領隆鎮衛、左阿速衛諸軍。癸亥，安置宗王不蘭奚於梧州。丁卯，太陰犯房宿。辛未，禁彈弓、弩箭、袖箭。壬申，國公買住卒，賜鈔三百錠。印造至元三年鈔本一百五十萬錠。是月，松江府上海縣饑，發義倉糧及募富人出粟賑之。安豐路饑，賑糶麥四萬二千四百石。

On the jiyou day of the eleventh month, the moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the renzi day, Naihai was appointed associate administrator of the Huguang Branch Secretariat to suppress the rebellious Yao in Guangxi. The empresses of the Wuzong, Yingzong, and Mingzong reigns were elevated and enshrined in the temple, and officials were ordered to offer sacrifice. On the dingsi day, Yue Luopuhua, associate administrator of the Henan Branch Secretariat, was dispatched to the Western Regions as a monk. On the jiwei day, the moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the xinyou day, the Prince of Proclaimed Forbearance Temür Buqa was granted four thousand ingots of paper money for purchasing a residence in the market. An edict ordered that officials of Temür Buqa's princely household, when attending court congratulations, take their place in the ranks to the right of the regular offices. On the renxu day, Zheyanbuhua, vice director of the Bureau of Military Affairs, was also appointed darughachi of the Palace and Capital Commissariat, commanding the Longzhen Guard, the Left Asud Guard, and other armies. On the guihai day, Prince Buranxi was settled at Wuzhou. On the dingmao day, the moon transgressed the Room mansion. On the xinwei day, crossbows, arrows, and sleeve-bolts were prohibited. On the renshen day, Duke Maizhu died and was granted three hundred ingots of paper money. Paper money of the third year of Zhiyuan was printed in an issue of one million five hundred thousand ingots. That month Shanghai County in Songjiang Prefecture was starving. Charity-granary grain was issued and the wealthy were enlisted to contribute grain for relief. Anfeng Circuit was starving. Forty-two thousand four hundred shi of wheat were issued for relief sale.

十二月甲戌，日赤如赭。丙子，命興元府鳳州留壩鎮及晉寧路遼山縣十八盤各立巡檢司。宗王也孫帖木兒進西馬三匹。賜文濟王蠻子金印、驛券及從衛者衣並糧五千石。詔省、院、臺、翰林、集賢、奎章閣、太常禮儀院、禮部官定議寧宗皇帝尊謚、廟號。是月，江州諸縣饑，總管王大中貸富人粟以賑貧民，而免富人雜徭以為息，約年豐還之，民不病饑。慶元慈溪縣饑，遣官賑之。是歲，詔整治驛傳。以甘肅行省白城子屯田之地賜宗王喃忽裏。以燕鐵木兒居第賜灌頂國師曩哥星吉，號大覺海寺，塑千佛於其內。江浙旱，自春至於八月不雨，民大饑。

On the jiaxu day of the twelfth month, the sun was red as ochre. On the bingzi day, inspection offices were established at Liuba Town in Feng Prefecture of Xingyuan Circuit and at Shibapan in Liaoshan County of Jinning Circuit. Prince Yesun Temür presented three Western horses. The Prince of Literary Succor Manzi was granted a gold seal, post-station warrants, and clothing and grain for his guards totaling five thousand shi. An edict ordered officials of the Secretariat, Censorate, surveillance institutions, Hanlin Academy, Academy of Scholarly Glory, Pavilion of Literary Splendor, Court of Imperial Sacrifices, and Ministry of Rites to deliberate on the posthumous title and temple name of Emperor Ningzong. That month the counties of Jiujiang Circuit were starving. Prefect Wang Dazhong lent grain from the wealthy to relieve the poor, exempting the wealthy from miscellaneous corvée as interest and promising repayment when the year was abundant. The people did not suffer from hunger. Cixi County in Qingyuan was starving, and officials were dispatched to relieve it. That year an edict ordered the rectification of courier stations. The garrison-farmlands of Baichengzi in the Gansu Branch Secretariat were bestowed on Prince Nanhuli. Yan Temür's residence was bestowed on the State Preceptor Nanggasinggi as the Great Awakening Ocean Temple, with a thousand Buddhas sculpted within. Jiangzhe suffered drought from spring until the eighth month without rain, and the people were greatly afflicted by famine.

三年春正月癸卯，廣州增城縣民朱光卿反，其黨石昆山、鐘大明率眾從之，偽稱大金國，改元赤符。命指揮狗劄裏、江西行省左丞沙的討之。戊申，大都南北兩城設賑糶米鋪二十處。辛亥，升祔懿璘只班皇帝於廟，謚沖聖嗣孝皇帝，廟號寧宗。豫王阿剌忒納失裏買池州銅陵產銀地一所，請用私財煆煉，輸納官課，從之。癸丑，立宣鎮侍衛屯田萬戶府於寧夏。丙辰，月食。丁巳，日有交暈，左右珥上有白虹貫之。戊午，帝獵於柳林，凡三十五日。監察御史醜的、宋紹明進諫，帝嘉納之，賜金、幣。醜的等固辭，帝曰：「昔魏征進諫，唐太宗未嘗不賞，汝其受之。」是月，臨江路新淦州、新喻州，瑞州民饑，賑糶米二萬石。封晉郭璞為靈應侯。

In the third year, on the guimao day of the first month of spring, Zhu Guangqing of Zengcheng County, Guangzhou, rebelled. His followers Shi Kunshan and Zhong Daming led the masses to join him, falsely calling their state Great Jin and changing the era name to Red Talisman. Commander Qochili and Zuo Sha'di, left director of the Jiangxi Branch Secretariat, were ordered to suppress them. On the wushen day, twenty relief-sale rice shops were established in the northern and southern wards of Dadu. On the xinhai day, Emperor Yilinzhiban was elevated and enshrined in the temple, with the posthumous title Sagely Heir of Pure Succession and the temple name Ningzong. Prince of Yu Ala Temür purchased a tract of silver-producing land in Tongling, Chizhou, requesting to smelt it with private funds and pay official levies. The request was granted. On the guichou day, the Xuanzhen Guard Garrison Ten-Thousand Households was established at Ningxia. On the bingchen day, there was a lunar eclipse. On the dingsi day, there was a solar halo with arcs on both sides and a white rainbow running through it. On the wuwu day, the emperor hunted at Willow Grove for thirty-five days in all. Investigating censors Choude and Song Shaoming submitted remonstrance. The emperor praised and accepted it and bestowed gold and silks. Choude and the others firmly declined. The emperor said, "In former times when Wei Zheng remonstrated, Emperor Taizong of Tang never failed to reward him. You too should accept it." That month Xin'gan and Xinyu prefectures in Linjiang Circuit and the people of Ruizhou were starving. Twenty thousand shi of rice were issued for relief sale. Guo Pu of Jin was enfeoffed as Marquis of Spiritual Response.

二月壬申朔，日有食之。棒胡反於汝寧信陽州。棒胡本陳州人，名閏兒，以燒香惑眾，妄造妖言作亂，破歸德府鹿邑，焚陳州，屯營於杏岡，命河南行省左丞慶童領兵討之。紹興路大水。丙子，立船戶提舉司十處，提領二十處。定船戶科差，船一千料之上者，歲納鈔六錠，以下遞減。壬午，以上太皇太后玉冊、玉寶，恭謝太廟。甲申，定服色、器皿、輿馬之制。己丑，汝寧獻所獲棒胡彌勒佛、小旗、偽宣敕並紫金印、量天尺。辛卯，發鈔四十萬錠，賑江浙等處饑民四十萬戶，開所在山場、河泊之禁，聽民樵采。廣西徭賊復反，命湖廣行省平章那海、江西行省平章禿兒迷失海牙總兵捕之。丙申，太保定住薨，給賜殯葬諸物。庚子，中書參知政事納麟等請立采珠提舉司。先是，嘗立提舉司，泰定間以其煩擾罷去，至是納麟請復立之，且以采珠戶四萬賜伯顏。是月，發義倉米賑蘄州及紹興饑民。

On the renshen new moon of the second month, there was a solar eclipse. Bang Hu rebelled at Ruyang in Runing Prefecture of Runing Circuit. Bang Hu was originally a man of Chen Prefecture named Run'er. He deluded the masses with incense-burning, fabricated demonic prophecies, and raised rebellion. He seized Luyi in Guide Prefecture, burned Chen Prefecture, and encamped at Apricot Mound. Qing Tong, left director of the Henan Branch Secretariat, was ordered to lead troops to suppress him. Shaoxing Circuit suffered great flooding. On the bingzi day, ten boat-household superintendencies and twenty sub-superintendencies were established. Boat-household levies were fixed: for boats of one thousand piculs capacity and above, six ingots of paper money per year, with reductions for smaller boats. On the renwu day, with the grand empress dowager's jade register and jade seal, grateful obeisance was offered at the Imperial Ancestral Temple. On the jiashen day, regulations for clothing colors, vessels, and carriages and horses were fixed. Prohibitions on mountains and river fisheries in each locality were opened so the people might gather fuel and fish. The Yao bandits in Guangxi rebelled again. Naihai, associate administrator of the Huguang Branch Secretariat, and Tör Temür Haiya, associate administrator of the Jiangxi Branch Secretariat, were ordered to command troops jointly to capture them. On the bingshen day, Dingzhu died, and funerary objects were granted. On the gengzi day, Vice Administrators Nalin and others requested establishment of a pearl-collection superintendency. Earlier a superintendency had been established but abolished in the Taiding reign because of its vexations. Now Nalin requested its restoration and moreover that forty thousand pearl-collecting households be bestowed on Bayan. That month charity-granary rice was issued to relieve the famine-stricken people of Qizhou and Shaoxing.

三月辛亥，太陰犯靈臺。發鈔一萬錠，賑大都寶坻饑民。戊午，以玉寶、玉冊立弘吉剌氏伯顏忽都為皇后，因雨輟賀。詔以完者帖木兒蘇州之田二百頃賜郯王徹徹禿。己未，大都饑，命於南北兩城賑糶糙米。癸亥，加封晉周處為英義武惠正應王。己丑，命宗王燕帖木兒為大宗正府劄魯忽赤。是月，天雨線。發義倉糧賑溧陽州饑民六萬九千二百人。

On the xinhai day of the third month, the moon transgressed the Heavenly Terrace. Ten thousand ingots of paper money were issued to relieve the famine-stricken people of Baodi in Dadu. On the wuwu day, with jade seal and jade register, Boraghachi of the Onggirat clan was installed as empress. Because of rain the congratulations were suspended. An edict bestowed two hundred qing of land at Suzhou belonging to Wanzhe Temür on Prince Chechetu of Tan. On the jiwei day, Dadu was starving. An order was issued to sell polished rice for relief in the northern and southern wards. On the guihai day, Zhou Chu of Jin was further enfeoffed as King of Heroic Righteousness, Martial Favor, and Correct Response. On the jichou day, Prince Yantu Temür was appointed jarquchi of the Office of the Imperial Clan. That month thread fell from the sky. Charity-granary grain was issued to relieve sixty-nine thousand two hundred famine-stricken people in Liyang Prefecture.

夏四月壬申，遣使降香於龍虎、三茅、閣皂諸山。癸酉，禁漢人、南人、高麗人不得執持軍器，凡有馬者拘入官。甲戌，有星孛於王良，至七月壬寅沒於貫索。皇后以受玉冊、玉寶，恭謝太廟。命伯顏領宣鎮侍衛軍，賜鈔三千錠，建宣鎮侍衛府。以太皇太后受冊、寶詔天下。己卯，車駕時巡上都。壬午，高麗王阿剌忒納失裏朝賀還國，賜金一錠、鈔二千錠，從官賜與有差。辛卯，合州大足縣民韓法師反，自稱南朝趙王。太陰犯壘壁陣。丁酉，謚唐杜甫為文貞。己亥，惠州歸善縣民聶秀卿、譚景山等造軍器，拜戴甲為定光佛，與朱光卿相結為亂，命江西行省左丞沙的捕之。庚子，太白晝見。是月，詔：「省、院、臺、部、宣慰司、廉訪司及部府幕官之長，並用蒙古、色目人。禁漢人、南人不得習學蒙古、色目文字。」以米八千石、鈔二千八百錠賑哈剌奴兒饑民。龍興路南昌、新建縣饑，太皇太后發徽政院糧三萬六千七百七十石賑糶之。

On the renshen day of the fourth month of summer, envoys were dispatched to offer incense at Mount Longhu, Mount Sanmao, Mount Gezao, and other mountains. On the guiyou day, Han people, southerners, and Goryeans were forbidden to bear military weapons. All who had horses were confiscated by the government. On the jiaxu day, a broom star appeared at Wangliang. On the renyin day of the seventh month it vanished at Guansuo. Because the empress received the jade register and jade seal, grateful obeisance was offered at the Imperial Ancestral Temple. Bayan was ordered to command the Xuanzhen Guard. Three thousand ingots of paper money were bestowed and the Xuanzhen Guard headquarters was established. Because the grand empress dowager received the register and seal, an edict was proclaimed throughout the realm. On the jimao day, the imperial carriage traveled seasonally to Shangdu. On the renwu day, the king of Goryeo Ala Temür came to court with congratulations and returned to his country. He was granted one ingot of gold and two thousand ingots of paper money, and his attendants were bestowed according to rank. On the xinmao day, Han Fashi of Dazu County in He Prefecture rebelled, calling himself King Zhao of the Southern Dynasty. The moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the dingyou day, Du Fu of Tang was given the posthumous title Literary and Upright. On the jihai day, Nie Xiuqing, Tan Jingshan, and others of Guishan County in Huizhou manufactured weapons, honored Dai Jia as the Buddha of Fixed Light, and joined with Zhu Guangqing in rebellion. Zuo Sha'di, left director of the Jiangxi Branch Secretariat, was ordered to capture them. On the gengzi day, Venus was visible in daylight. That month an edict declared: "At the Secretariat, Censorate, surveillance institutions, ministries, branch secretariats, surveillance commissions, and chief officials of subordinate offices and prefectural staffs, Mongols and semuren are to be employed. Han people and southerners are forbidden to study Mongol and semuren script." Eight thousand shi of rice and two thousand eight hundred ingots of paper money were issued to relieve the famine-stricken people of Qarakhunur. Nanchang and Xinjian counties in Longxing Circuit were starving. The grand empress dowager issued thirty-six thousand seven hundred seventy shi of grain from the Bureau of Palace Provisions for relief sale.

In the fifth month, on the xinchou day, a false rumor spread among the people that the court was rounding up boys and girls. For a time marriage was rushed to completion almost entirely. On the renyin day, Venus transgressed the Ghost mansion. On the guimao day, tiger tallies were granted to Andusila and others, darughachi of the Pingfa and Duyun Dingyun pacification commissions. On the yisi day, because the people of Xing and Song prefectures were starving, wine-making at Shangdu and Xinghe was prohibited. The moon transgressed the Xuanyuan constellation. On the wushen day, an edict declared: "Bang Hu of Runing, Zhu Guangqing of Guangdong, Nie Xiuqing, and others are all Han people. For Han who hold office in the Secretariat, Censorate, surveillance institutions, Hanlin, and Academy of Scholarly Glory, methods of execution and capture may be discussed and reported." On the jiayin day, an edict made Qaba'ertu and Tujian Temür grand marshals, each establishing subordinate staff and secretariat officials. Bandits rose in the Western Regions, killing the Prince of Pacifying the West Dang'erban. A Branch Commission for Buddhist and Tibetan Affairs was established, with Esen Temür as commissioner, to campaign against them. On the wuwu day, Venus was visible in daylight. On the jiwei day, the moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the xinyou day, Venus was visible in daylight. On the renxu day, Jüri and others, vice administrators of the Sichuan Branch Secretariat, were ordered to capture the rebel Han Fashi. On the dingmao day, a comet appeared in the northeast, as large as the Celestial Boat star, white in color, about a foot long, with its tail pointing southwest. It vanished on the gengwu day of the eighth month. On the gengwu day of the sixth month, Venus crossed the sky. On the xinwei and jiaxu days it was again so. On the yihai day, Venus transgressed the Heavenly Terrace. On the wuyin day, Chancellor Angge was posthumously enfeoffed as founding meritorious minister who supported loyalty and aided transport, King of Dongping, Loyal and Commiserating. A temple was established in his enfeoffed city and officials were ordered to offer sacrifice. On the jimao day, Venus crossed the sky. That night Venus transgressed the Supreme Palace Enclosure. On the xinsi day great torrential rains fell, and from that day until guisi they did not cease. The capital, Henan, and the northern regions were inundated. The Imperial River, Yellow River, Qin River, and Hun River overflowed, drowning many people, livestock, and dwellings. On the renwu day, Venus was visible in daylight, and the moon transgressed the Dipper mansion. On the guiwei day, a ritual was established at the Longevity Palace. On the dinghai day, Venus transgressed the Supreme Palace Enclosure. On the wuzi day, Lord Yin of the Primordial Beginning of the Supreme Great Primordial Literary Beginning was further enfeoffed as True Lord; Xu Jia as True Lord of Sagely Transformation and Responsive Oversight; Gengsangzi as True Lord of Cave Spirit, Transformative Influence, and Transcendent Leap; Wenzi as True Lord of Penetrating Mystery, Radiant Expansion, and Elevated Origin; Liezi as True Lord of Empty Transcendence, Supreme Virtue, Worldly Withdrawal, and Joyful Roaming; Zhuangzi as True Lord of Southern Florescence, Supreme Pole, Heroic Literature, and Expansive Way. On the jichou day Venus was visible in daylight, and on the gengyin day it was again so, until it ceased on the xinyou day of the seventh month. On the renchen day, Zhangde suffered flooding one zhang deep. An inspection office was established at Jingzhi community in Weichuan township, Gaomi County.

秋七月己亥，漳河泛溢至廣平城下。賜鞏卜班西平王印。癸卯，車駕出獵。太白經天。乙巳，復如之。丙午，車駕幸失剌斡耳朵。太白復經天。丁未，車駕幸龍岡，灑馬乳以祭。戊申，召朵兒只國王入朝。庚戌，太白晝見。河南武陟縣禾將熟，有蝗自東來，縣尹張寬仰天祝曰：「寧殺縣尹，毋傷百姓。」俄有魚鷹群飛啄食之。壬子，車駕幸乾元寺。甲寅，太白經天。乙卯，懷慶水。庚申，詔：「除人命重事之外，凡盜賊諸罪，不須候五府官審錄，有司依例決之。」辛酉，太白晝見。壬戌，賜宗王桑哥八剌七寶系腰。太白經天。癸亥、甲子，復如之。是月，狗劄裏、沙的擒朱光卿，尋追擒石昆山、鐘大明。

On the jihai day of the seventh month of autumn, the Zhang River flooded up to the foot of Guangping city. The seal of King of Xiping was bestowed on Gongbuban. On the guimao day, the imperial carriage went out hunting. Venus crossed the sky. On the yisi day, it was again so. On the bingwu day, the imperial carriage visited the Shilatu ordu. Venus again crossed the sky. On the dingwei day, the imperial carriage visited Longgang and sprinkled mare's milk as offering. On the wushen day, King Dorji was summoned to court. On the gengxu day, Venus was visible in daylight. In Wuzhi County of Henan, as the grain was about to ripen, locusts came from the east. Prefect Zhang Kuan looked up to heaven and prayed, "Better kill the prefect than harm the people." Before long flocks of fish hawks flew in and pecked them up. On the renzi day, the imperial carriage visited Qianyuan Temple. On the jiayin day, Venus crossed the sky. On the yimao day, Huaiqing suffered flooding. On the gengshen day, an edict declared: "Apart from capital cases involving human life, for all crimes of theft and the like there is no need to await review by officials of the Five Offices. The authorities shall decide according to precedent." On the xinyou day, Venus was visible in daylight. On the renxu day, Prince Sangge Bala was granted a seven-treasure waist girdle. Venus crossed the sky. On the guihai and jiazi days, it was again so. That month Qochili and Sha'di captured Zhu Guangqing and soon pursued and captured Shi Kunshan and Zhong Daming.

八月戊辰，祭社稷。遣使賑濟南饑民九萬戶。庚午，彗星不見，自五月丁卯始見，至是凡六十三日，自昴至房，凡歷一十五宿而滅。甲戌，太陰犯心宿。辛巳，京畿盜起。壬午，京師地大震，太廟梁柱裂，各室墻壁皆壞，壓損儀物，文宗神主及御床盡碎；西湖寺神御殿壁仆，壓損祭器。自是累震，至丁亥方止，所損人民甚眾。癸未，日有交暈，左右珥白虹貫之。河南地震。弛高麗執持軍器之禁，仍令乘馬。戊子，漢人鎮遏生番處，亦開軍器之禁。修理文宗神主並廟中諸物。是月，車駕至自上都。九月己亥，熒惑犯斗宿。甲辰，太陰犯斗宿。丁未，太陰犯壘壁陣。己酉，立皮貨所於寧夏，設提領使、副主之。立四川、湖廣江西、江浙行樞密院。文宗新主、玉冊及一切神御之物皆成，詔依典禮祭告。太陰犯壘壁陣。辛亥，太陰犯軒轅。丙寅，大都南北兩城添設賑糶米鋪五所。

On the wuchen day of the eighth month, sacrifice was offered at the altars of soil and grain. Envoys were dispatched to relieve ninety thousand famine-stricken households in Jinan. On the gengwu day the comet was no longer seen. From its first appearance on the dingmao day of the fifth month until now was sixty-three days in all, passing through fifteen mansions from Hairy Head to Room before vanishing. On the jiaxu day, the moon transgressed the Heart mansion. On the xinsi day, bandits rose in the capital region. On the renwu day the capital region suffered a great earthquake. Pillars of the Imperial Ancestral Temple split and walls of each chamber were damaged. Ritual objects were crushed, and the spirit tablets and imperial couch of Emperor Wenzong were entirely shattered. Walls of the spirit hall at West Lake Temple collapsed, crushing sacrificial vessels. Earthquakes followed one after another until the dinghai day before ceasing, and many people were harmed. On the guiwei day, there was a solar halo with arcs on both sides and a white rainbow running through it. Henan suffered an earthquake. The prohibition on Goryeans bearing weapons was relaxed, and they were again permitted to ride horses. On the wuzi day, the prohibition on weapons was also opened in places where Han guarded raw tribes. The spirit tablets of Emperor Wenzong and all objects in the temple were repaired. That month the imperial carriage arrived from Shangdu. On the jihai day of the ninth month, Mars transgressed the Dipper mansion. On the jiachen day, the moon transgressed the Dipper mansion. On the dingwei day, the moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the jiyou day, a leather-goods office was established at Ningxia, with chief and deputy superintendents appointed. Branch Bureaus of Military Affairs were established in Sichuan, Huguang, Jiangxi, and Jiangzhe. The new spirit tablets, jade registers, and all spirit objects of Emperor Wenzong were completed. An edict ordered sacrifice and announcement according to ritual. The moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the xinhai day, the moon transgressed the Xuanyuan constellation. On the bingyin day, five additional relief-sale rice shops were established in the northern and southern wards of Dadu.

On the gengwu day of the tenth month of winter, Venus was visible in daylight. On the guiyou day the sun was red as ochre. On the yihai day, Toqto, director of the Jiangzhe Branch Secretariat, was ordered to supervise sea transport. On the bingzi day, the moon transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the renwu day, the moon transgressed the Hairy Head mansion. On the dinghai day, Venus was visible in daylight, and the moon transgressed the Ghost mansion. On the gengyin day Venus was visible in daylight, on the xinmao day it was again so, and on the bingshen day again so.

十一月丁酉，太白經天。戊戌，太白犯亢宿。己亥，太白經天。壬寅，太陰犯熒惑。癸卯，太陰犯壘壁陣。丙午，立屯田於雄州。丁未，填星犯鍵閉。辛亥，太陰犯五車。甲寅，太陰犯鬼宿。丙辰，太陰犯軒轅。丁巳，太白經天，太陰犯太微垣。詔脫脫木兒襲脫火赤荊王位，仍命其妃忽剌灰同治兀魯思事。戊午，太白經天。癸亥，發鈔萬五千錠，賑宣德等處地震死傷者。太白經天。甲子、乙丑，復如之。

On the dingwei day, Saturn transgressed Key Closure. On the xinhai day, the moon transgressed the Five Chariots. On the jiayin day, the moon transgressed the Ghost mansion. On the bingchen day, the moon transgressed the Xuanyuan constellation. On the dingsi day, Venus crossed the sky, and the moon transgressed the Supreme Palace Enclosure. An edict ordered Totoq Temür to inherit the princedom of Jing and Tuqoch, and his consort Hulaghai to administer Ulus affairs jointly. On the wuwu day, Venus crossed the sky. On the guihai day, fifteen thousand ingots of paper money were issued to relieve those killed and injured in the earthquake at Xuande and other places. Venus crossed the sky. On the jiazi and yichou days, it was again so.

十二月己巳，享於太廟。歲星退犯天樽，填星犯罰星。甲戌，熒惑犯壘壁陣，太白犯東咸。乙亥，吏部仍設考功郎中、員外郎、主事各一員。庚辰，命阿魯圖襲廣平王爵。壬午，集賢大學士羊歸等言：「太上皇、唐妃影堂在真定玉華宮，每年宜於正月二十日致祭。」從之。丙戌，命阿速衛探馬赤軍屯田。是月，以馬劄兒臺為太保，分樞密院鎮北邊。是歲，詔賜孝子靳昺碑。伯顏請殺張、王、劉、李、趙五姓漢人，帝不從。征西域僧伽剌麻至京師，號灌頂國師，賜玉印。

On the jisi day of the twelfth month, sacrifice was offered at the Imperial Ancestral Temple. Jupiter retreated and transgressed the Celestial Wine Jar; Saturn transgressed the Punishment star. On the jiaxu day, Mars transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation and Venus transgressed Eastern Suburb. On the yihai day, the Ministry of Personnel again established one director, vice director, and clerk each in the Office of Merit Examination. On the gengchen day, Arutu was ordered to inherit the title Prince of Guangping. On the renwu day, Yang Gui and others of the Academy of Scholarly Glory said, "The portrait halls of the retired emperor and Consort Tang at Yuhua Palace in Zhending should be sacrificed to each year on the twentieth day of the first month." The request was granted. On the bingxu day, Asud scout cavalry garrison troops were ordered to farm fields. That month Mažar was made grand tutor and the Bureau of Military Affairs was divided to guard the northern frontier. That year an edict bestowed a stele on the filial son Jin Bing. Bayan requested that the five Han surnames Zhang, Wang, Liu, Li, and Zhao be killed. The emperor did not consent. The Western Regions monk Gammala was summoned to the capital, titled State Preceptor of Abhiṣeka, and granted a jade seal.

四年春正月丙申，以地震，赦天下。詔：「內外廉能官，父母年七十無侍丁者，附近銓註，以便侍養。」以宣政院使不蘭奚年七十致仕，授大司徒，給全俸終身。癸卯，太白犯建星，甲辰，復如之。丙午，太陰犯五車。辛亥，太陰犯軒轅。己未，填星犯東咸。江浙海運糧數不足，撥江西、河南五十萬石補之。庚申，太陰入南斗，太白犯牛宿。辛酉，分命宗王乃馬歹為知行樞密院事。癸亥，印造鈔本百二十萬錠。是月，詔修曲阜孔子廟。

In the fourth year, on the bingshen day of the first month of spring, because of the earthquake, amnesty was proclaimed throughout the realm. An edict declared: "For honest and capable officials within and without, if their parents are seventy and there is no attendant son, they shall be appointed nearby by the Board so they may serve and support them." Because Buranxi, commissioner of the Bureau of Buddhist and Tibetan Affairs, was seventy, he was ordered to retire and was appointed Grand Preceptor with full salary for life. On the guimao day Venus transgressed the Establishment star, and on the jiachen day it was again so. On the bingwu day, the moon transgressed the Five Chariots. On the xinhai day, the moon transgressed the Xuanyuan constellation. On the jiwei day, Saturn transgressed Eastern Suburb. The Jiangzhe sea-transport grain quota was insufficient. Five hundred thousand shi from Jiangxi and Henan were allocated to supplement it. On the gengshen day, the moon entered the Southern Dipper and Venus transgressed the Ox mansion. On the xinyou day, Prince Namadai was separately ordered acting vice director of the Branch Bureau of Military Affairs. On the guihai day, paper money was printed in an issue of one million two hundred thousand ingots. That month an edict ordered repair of the Confucian temple at Qufu.

二月丁卯，罷河南、江浙、湖廣江西、四川等處行樞密院。戊辰，祭社稷。庚午，車駕獵於柳林。戊寅，太陰犯軒轅。己卯，太陰犯靈臺。乙酉，奉聖州地震。是月，賑京師、河南、北被水災者。龍興路南昌州饑，以江西海運糧賑糶之。

On the dingmao day of the second month, the branch bureaus of military affairs in Henan, Jiangzhe, Huguang, Jiangxi, Sichuan, and other places were abolished. On the wuchen day, sacrifice was offered at the altars of soil and grain. On the gengwu day, the imperial carriage hunted at Willow Grove. On the wuyin day, the moon transgressed the Xuanyuan constellation. On the jimao day, the moon transgressed the Heavenly Terrace. On the yiyou day, Fengsheng Prefecture suffered an earthquake. That month those afflicted by flooding in the capital, Henan, and the north were relieved. Nanchang Prefecture in Longxing Circuit was starving. Jiangxi sea-transport grain was issued for relief sale.

三月戊申，填星退犯東咸。辛酉，命中書平章政事阿吉剌監修《至正條格》。告祭南郊。以國王朵兒只為遼陽行省左丞相，宗王玉裏不花為知樞密院事，賜鈔一千錠、金一錠、銀十錠。

On the wushen day of the third month, Saturn retreated and transgressed Eastern Suburb. On the xinyou day, Associate Administrator Ajili was ordered to supervise compilation of the 《Statutes of the Zhizheng Reign》. Sacrifice and announcement were offered at the southern suburb. King Dorji was appointed left director of the Liaoyang Branch Secretariat. Prince Yilibughua was appointed vice director of the Bureau of Military Affairs and was granted one thousand ingots of paper money, one ingot of gold, and ten ingots of silver.

夏四月辛未，京師天雨紅沙，晝晦。以探馬赤、只兒瓦歹為中書平章政事。癸酉，以脫脫為御史大夫。乙亥，命阿吉剌為奎章大學士兼知經筵事。己卯，車駕時巡上都。河南執棒胡至京師，誅之。癸巳，車駕薄暮至八里塘，雨雹，大如拳，其狀有小兒、環玦、獅、象、龜、卵之形。

On the xinwei day of the fourth month of summer, red sand rained in the capital and daylight was dim. On the guiyou day, the scout Qamaq and Jirwatai were appointed associate administrators of the Secretariat. On the yihai day, Totoq was appointed censor-in-chief. On the jimao day, Ajili was appointed grand academician of the Pavilion of Literary Splendor and also ordered to oversee the Classics Colloquium. On the jimao day, the imperial carriage traveled seasonally to Shangdu. Bang Hu of Henan was escorted to the capital and executed. On the guisi day, near dusk the imperial carriage reached Balitang. Hail fell as large as fists, in shapes of small children, rings, lions, elephants, tortoises, and eggs.

五月乙未，立五臺山等處巡檢司。庚戌，升兩淮屯田打捕總管府為正三品。甲寅，贈湖廣行省平章政事燕赤推誠翊戴安邊制勝功臣、太傅、開府儀同三司、上柱國，追封永平王，謚忠襄。辛酉，詔：「土番宣慰司軍士，許令乘馬，執兵器。」湖廣行省元領新化洞、古州、潭溪、龍裏、洪州諸洞三百餘處，洞民六萬餘戶，分隸靖州，立敘南、橫江巡檢司。是月，命佛家閭為考功郎中，喬林為考功員外郎，魏宗道為考功主事，考較天下郡縣官屬功過。命阿剌吉復為中書平章政事。彰德獻瑞麥，一莖三穗。臨沂、費縣水，發米三萬石賑糶之。六月庚午，廣東廉訪司僉事恩莫綽言：「處決重囚，宜命五府官斟酌地裏遠近，預選官分行各道，比到秋分時畢事。」從之。辛巳，袁州民周子旺反，僭稱周王，偽改年號，尋擒獲，伏誅。填星退犯鍵閉。壬午，立重慶路墊江縣。己丑，邵武路大雨，水入城郭，平地一丈。是月，信州路靈山裂。漳州路南勝縣民李誌甫反，圍漳城，守將搠思監與戰，失利。詔江浙行省平章別不花，總浙閩、江西、廣東軍討之。

On the yimao day of the fifth month, inspection offices were established at Mount Wutai and other places. On the gengxu day, the Liang-Huai garrison hunt and capture chief command was promoted to the third rank. On the jiayin day, Yanchi, associate administrator of the Huguang Branch Secretariat, was posthumously enfeoffed as meritorious minister who supported sincerity and aided the throne in pacifying the frontier and overcoming enemies, Grand Preceptor, Commander-in-Chief with Equal Protocol to the Three Excellencies, and Supreme Pillar of State. He was further enfeoffed as Prince of Yongping, Loyal and Assisting. On the xinyou day, an edict declared: "Soldiers of the Tibetan pacification commission are permitted to ride horses and bear weapons." The Huguang Branch Secretariat originally administered more than three hundred caves of Xinhua, Gu, Tanxi, Longli, and Hong, with more than sixty thousand cave households. They were divided and placed under Jing Prefecture, and the Xunan and Hengjiang inspection offices were established. That month Fujia Lü was appointed director of the Office of Merit Examination, Qiao Lin vice director, and Wei Zongdao clerk, to examine the merits and faults of officials throughout the realm. Araji was again appointed associate administrator of the Secretariat. Zhangde presented auspicious wheat with one stalk and three ears. Linyi and Fei counties suffered flooding. Thirty thousand shi of rice were issued for relief sale. On the gengwu day of the sixth month, Enmochuo, surveillance commissioner of Guangdong, said, "When executing serious criminals, officials of the Five Offices should consider distance and beforehand select officials to proceed to each circuit so that all matters are completed by the autumn equinox." The request was granted. On the xinsi day, Zhou Ziwang of Yuan Prefecture rebelled, falsely calling himself King Zhou of the Zhou dynasty and changing the era name. He was soon captured and executed. Saturn retreated and transgressed Key Closure. On the renwu day, Dianjiang County in Chongqing Circuit was established. On the jichou day, Shaowu Circuit suffered great rain. Water entered the city walls one zhang deep on level ground. That month Lingshan in Xin Prefecture Circuit split open. Li Zhipu of Nansheng County in Zhang Prefecture rebelled and besieged Zhang city. The defending general Toqsun fought them and was defeated. An edict ordered Biebughua, associate administrator of the Jiangzhe Branch Secretariat, to command armies of Zhe, Min, Jiangxi, and Guangdong to suppress them.

秋七月壬寅，詔以伯顏有功，立生祠於涿州、汴梁。己酉，奉聖州地大震，損壞人民廬舍。丙辰，鞏昌府山崩，壓死人民。戊午，為伯顏立打捕鷹房諸色人戶總管府。

On the renyin day of the seventh month of autumn, an edict said that because Bayan had merit, living shrines were established at Zhuo and Bian prefectures. On the jiyou day, Fengsheng Prefecture suffered a great earthquake, damaging people, dwellings, and property. On the bingchen day, mountains collapsed in Gongchang Prefecture, crushing people to death. On the wuwu day, a chief command of hunt-and-falcon households of various categories was established for Bayan.

八月癸亥朔，日有食之。戊辰，祭社稷。己巳，申取高麗女子及閹人之禁。贈伯顏察兒守誠佐治安惠世美功臣、太師、開府儀同三司、上柱國，追封奉元王，謚忠宣。辛未，宣德府地大震。癸酉，山東鹽運司於濟南歷城立濱洛鹽倉東西二場。丙子，京師地震，日二三次，至乙酉乃止。丁酉，白虹貫天。癸未，改宣德府為順寧府，奉聖州為保安州。贈太保曲出推忠翊運保寧一德功臣、太師、開府儀同三司、上柱國，追封廣陽王，謚忠惠。贈平章伯帖木兒宣忠濟美協誠正德功臣、太傅、開府儀同三司、上柱國，追封文安王，謚忠憲。甲申，雲南老告土官八那遣侄那賽賫象馬來朝，為立老告軍民總管府。是月，車駕還自上都。

On the guihai new moon of the eighth month, there was a solar eclipse. On the wuchen day, sacrifice was offered at the altars of soil and grain. On the jisi day, the prohibition on taking Goryean women and eunuchs was reasserted. Bayancher was posthumously enfeoffed as meritorious minister who guarded sincerity and aided transport in pacifying the age and beautifying the world, Grand Preceptor, Commander-in-Chief with Equal Protocol to the Three Excellencies, and Supreme Pillar of State. He was further enfeoffed as Prince of Fengyuan, Loyal and Proclaiming. On the xinwei day, Xuande Prefecture suffered a great earthquake. On the guiyou day, the Shandong Salt Transport Commission established east and west salt depots at Licheng in Jinan. On the bingzi day the capital region suffered earthquakes two or three times a day until the yiyou day before ceasing. On the dingyou day, a white rainbow ran across the sky. On the guiwei day, Xuande Prefecture was renamed Shunning Prefecture and Fengsheng Prefecture was renamed Bao'an Prefecture. Grand Preceptor Qutu was posthumously enfeoffed as meritorious minister who supported loyalty and aided transport in preserving peace, Grand Preceptor, Commander-in-Chief with Equal Protocol to the Three Excellencies, and Supreme Pillar of State. He was further enfeoffed as Prince of Guangyang, Loyal and Kind. Associate Administrator Botiemuer was posthumously enfeoffed as meritorious minister who proclaimed loyalty and aided beauty in cooperative sincerity and upright virtue, Grand Preceptor, Commander-in-Chief with Equal Protocol to the Three Excellencies, and Supreme Pillar of State. He was further enfeoffed as Prince of Wen'an, Loyal and Commiserating. On the jiashen day, the native official Ba of Laogao in Yunnan sent his nephew Nasai with tribute of elephants and horses. The Laogao Military and Civil Chief Command was established. That month the imperial carriage returned from Shangdu.

On the wuxu day of the intercalary eighth month the sun was red as ochre, and on the jihai day it was again so. Saturn transgressed the Punishment star, and the moon transgressed the Dipper mansion. On the bingyin day of the ninth month, the moon transgressed the Dipper mansion. On the wuchen day, Venus transgressed Eastern Suburb. On the guiyou day, a shooting star as large as a cup, white in color, rose below the Right Banner and traveled southwest, vanishing near the Turbid Pool. On the jiashen day, the moon transgressed the Xuanyuan constellation. On the yiyou day, the moon transgressed the Heavenly Terrace. On the gengyin day the sun was red as ochre, and Venus transgressed the Dipper mansion.

冬十月辛卯，享於太廟。辛亥，太陰犯酒旗。

On the xinmao day of the tenth month of winter, sacrifice was offered at the Imperial Ancestral Temple. On the xinhai day, the moon transgressed the Wine Banner.

十一月丙寅，改英宗殿名昭融。丁卯，立紹熙府軍民宣撫都總使司，命御史大夫脫脫兼都總使，治書侍御史吉當普為副都總使，世襲其職。本府元領六州、二十縣、一百五十二鎮，國初，以其地荒而廢之；至是居民二十餘萬，故立府治之。乙巳，命平章政事孛羅領太常禮儀院使。熒惑犯氐宿。丁丑，太陰犯鬼宿。戊寅，太白犯壘壁陣。壬午，四川散毛洞蠻反，遣使賑被寇人民。

On the bingyin day of the eleventh month, the hall name of Emperor Yingzong was changed to Zhaorong. On the dingmao day, the Shaoxi Military and Civil Pacification Chief Command was established. Censor-in-Chief Totoq was also made chief commander, and Investigating Censor Jidangpu vice commander, with hereditary tenure. This prefecture originally administered six prefectures, twenty counties, and one hundred fifty-two towns. At the founding of the dynasty its lands were desolate and abolished. Now there were more than two hundred thousand inhabitants, and therefore a prefectural government was established. On the yisi day, Associate Administrator Boluo was ordered to head the Court of Imperial Sacrifices. Mars transgressed the mansion of Di. On the dingchou day, the moon transgressed the Ghost mansion. On the wuyin day, Venus transgressed the Encampment and Wall formation. On the renwu day, the Sanmao cave tribes of Sichuan rebelled. Envoys were dispatched to relieve the people afflicted by the bandits.

On the jiawu day of the twelfth month, twenty rice shops were established in the southern ward of Dadu and elsewhere. Each shop sold fifty shi of rice daily to aid the poor, to be abolished when the autumn harvest came. On the wuxu day, the Bangya and other Pacification Commission and Chief Command headquarters were established. Earlier, when Shizu had pacified Burma, because it lay at the extreme border of Yunnan, its chieftain was made commander and ordered to present tribute once every three years. Now tribute came, and therefore government offices were established. On the gengzi day, Mars transgressed the Room mansion. On the renyin day, Biebieqibuhua, commissioner of the Bureau of Palace Provisions, was appointed censor-in-chief. On the guimao day Venus crossed the sky, and on the jiyou day it was again so. On the gengxu day, Prince Totoq Temür of Jing was further granted the title of meritorious minister, primary assistant of broad centrality, righteous integrity, and martial rectitude who shakes the martial and aids transport. Venus crossed the sky. On the xinhai day, it was again so. On the renzi day, Mars transgressed Eastern Suburb. On the yimao day, Venus transgressed the Outer Screen, and the moon transgressed the Dipper mansion. On the bingchen day, Venus crossed the sky.
