纂初事尒朱榮，又為尒朱兆都督長史。 Zuan first served Erzhu Rong, then became chief of staff on Erzhu Zhao's staff.

為兆使於高祖，遂被顧識。 Zhao sent him to Gao Huan, and he won notice and favor.
