既而諸大臣以恩之所被，皆朝廷親近之臣，而宗室劉信及青州劉銖等皆國家元勛，必有不平之意，且外慮諸侯以朝廷有私於親近也，於是議及四方侯伯，普加恩焉。 Then the great ministers reflected that those favored were all the court's intimate ministers, while the imperial clansman Liu Xin, Qing Prefecture's Liu Zhu, and others were all founding merit of the state and would surely feel discontent. They also feared that feudal lords would think the court showed partiality to intimates. Therefore they discussed extending favor to the lords and princes throughout the realm.

己未，許州劉信加兼侍中，開封尹侯益進封魯國公，鄆州慕容彥超、青州劉銖並加兼侍中。 On jiwei, Liu Xin of Xu Prefecture was given the additional title of Palace Attendant, Kaifeng intendant Hou Yi was advanced to Duke of Lu, and Murong Yanchao of Yunzhou and Liu Zhu of Qing Prefecture were both given the additional title of Palace Attendant.

當周太祖舉兵於魏，漢遣劉銖誅其家族於京師，酷毒備至； When Later Zhou's Taizu raised his army in Wei, Later Han sent Liu Zhu to slaughter his entire household in the capital with every cruelty imaginable;

後太祖入立，遣人責銖，銖辭不屈，太祖雖深恨之，然以銖辭直，終不及其家也。 after Taizu took the throne he sent men to reproach Zhu. Zhu answered without yielding. Taizu hated him deeply, yet because Zhu's words were upright he never harmed his family.
