據《通鑒》云：隱帝與李業等謀誅楊邠等，議既定，入白太后，太后曰：「茲事何可輕發，更宜與宰相議之。」 The 《Zizhi tongjian》 records that Emperor Yin and Li Ye resolved to kill Yang Bin; when they told the dowager she said, "Do not rush this; take it to the chief ministers first."

《楊邠傳》云：隱帝所愛耿夫人，欲立為後，邠以為太速，夫人卒，隱帝欲以後禮葬，邠又止之。 The 《Yang Bin zhuan》 adds that Yin doted on Lady Geng and wanted her as empress; Yang Bin called it premature. When she died Yin demanded an empress's funeral, and Yang Bin blocked that too.

高祖寢疾大漸，楊邠受密旨遣信赴鎮，信即時戒路，不得奉辭，雨泣而去。 As Gaozu lay dying, Yang Bin carried a secret order to send Xin back to his post; Xin set out at once without a farewell audience and left in tears through the rain.

初，聞殺楊邠、史宏肇，遽啟宴席，集參佐賓幕，令相致賀。 When word came that Yang Bin and Shi Hongzhao had been killed, he at once threw a banquet, gathered his staff and secretariat advisers, and told them to congratulate one another.

夏四月己未，右都押衙楊邠為樞密使，蕃漢兵馬都孔目官郭威權樞密副使。 On jiwei in the fourth month Yang Bin, right chief adjutant, became Privy Councilor, and Guo Wei, chief clerk for Fan and Han horse troops, acting Vice Privy Councilor.

楊邠為中書侍郎兼吏部尚書、同中書門下平章事，郭威為樞密使，鎮寧軍節度使郭從義為永興軍兵馬都部署。 Yang Bin became Vice Director of the Secretariat and Minister of Personnel, Associate Grand Councilor; Guo Wei, Privy Councilor; and Guo Congyi of Zhenning, deployment commissioner for Yongxing horse and foot.

冬十一月丙子，殺楊邠及侍衛親軍都指揮使史弘肇、三司使王章，皆滅其族。 On bingzi in the eleventh month Yang Bin was executed, along with Shi Hongzhao, commander of the palace guards, and Wang Zhang, commissioner of the Three Departments; every clan of the three was wiped out.

邠等死，周太祖起兵向京師，慕容彥超敗於劉子陂，帝欲出自臨兵，太后止之曰：「郭威本吾家人，非其危疑，何肯至此！ After their deaths, Taizu of Zhou marched on the capital; Murong Yanchao was defeated at Liuzipo; the emperor meant to take the field himself; the dowager stopped him: “Guo Wei was originally one of our household—had he not been driven to doubt, how would he have come to this!

高祖寢疾，隱帝當立為嗣，楊邠等受顧命，不欲信在京師，乃遣信就鎮，信涕泣而去。 When Gaozu lay dying and the Hidden Emperor was to succeed, Yang Bin and the others took the deathbed charge; fearing Xin in the capital, they sent him to his post, and he left in tears.

少舉進士，為校書郎，依漢樞密使楊邠。 He passed the jinshi while young, became a proofreader, and served under Yang Bin, Han’s Privy Council commissioner.

邠與王章、史弘肇等有隙，朴見漢興日淺，隱帝年少孱弱，任用小人，而邠為大臣，與將相交惡，知其必亂，乃去邠東歸。 Bin feuded with Wang Zhang, Shi Hongzhao, and others. Pu saw Han still new, the Hidden Emperor young and frail, petty men in power—and Bin, a chief minister, at war with the generals. He knew ruin was coming and left Bin for the east.

後李業等教隱帝誅權臣，邠與章、弘肇皆見殺，三家之客多及，而朴以故獨免。 Later Li Ye and others persuaded the Hidden Emperor to purge the powerful ministers. Bin, Zhang, and Hongzhao were killed; clients of all three houses fell with them—Pu alone was spared, having left in time.
