明宗諸子八人，至晉出帝時六已亡歿，惟從溫、從敏在，太后常曰：「吾惟有一兄，豈可繩之以法！」 Of Mingzong’s eight sons, six were dead by the Deposed Emperor’s day; only Congwen and Congmin remained; the empress dowager often said: “I have only this one elder kinsman—how can I punish him by law!”

從敏字叔達，為人沉厚寡言，善騎射。 Congmin, styled Shuda, was grave, quiet, and skilled in horsemanship and archery.

歷鎮橫海、義武、成德、歸德、保義、昭義、河陽，封涇王。 He governed Henghai, Yiwu, Chengde, Guide, Baoyi, Zhaoyi, and Heyang in turn and was enfeoffed Prince of Jing.

漢高祖時，為西京留守，封秦國公。 Under Han Gaozu he was regent of the Western Capital and made Duke of Qin.

周廣順元年卒，贈中書令，謚曰恭惠。 He died in Zhou's first year Guangshun; posthumously made Director of the Secretariat and named Gonghui.
