是歲，征噶爾丹，以兵丁馬瘦，褫兵部尚書索諾和職。 That year, during the Galdan campaign, emaciated troop horses cost War Minister Suo Nuohe his post.

三十五年，喀爾喀蒙古獻駝馬，多不可計，感聖祖破噶爾丹，得歸原牧地也。 Kangxi 35 (1696) Khalkha Mongols sent countless camels and horses in gratitude for defeating Galdan and restoring their pastures.

三十五年，征噶爾丹，設邊外五處驛站，用便車糧運輸。 Kangxi 35 (1696), during the Galdan campaign, five frontier courier stations were set up to move grain and supplies.

二十九年，上以裕親王福全為大將軍，擊噶爾丹，命索額圖將盛京、吉林、科爾沁兵會於巴林，敗噶爾丹於烏闌布通。 In Kangxi 29 (1690) Prince Yu Fuquan was made grand general against Galdan; Songgotu led Mukden, Jilin, and Khorchin forces to Bairin and helped defeat Galdan at Ulan Butung.

上駐克魯倫河，噶爾丹遁走。 The emperor encamped on the Kerulen while Galdan fled.

三十六年，上還幸寧夏，命索額圖督水驛，會噶爾丹死。 In Kangxi 36 (1697) the emperor returned to Ningxia and put Songgotu in charge of the water courier route; Galdan died about then.

後從上徵噶爾丹，督西路軍餉，敘功復原級。 He later joined the campaign against Galdan, supervised western-route provisions, and had his rank restored for merit.

二十九年，師徵噶爾丹，命參贊大將軍裕親王軍務，次烏闌布通，與兄都統國綱並率左翼兵進戰。 In year 29, during the campaign against Galdan, he was ordered to assist the Grand General, the Prince of Yu; the army halted at Ulan Butong, and he and his elder brother Commandant Tong Guogang together led the left wing into action.

三十五年，從上徵噶爾丹，出獨石口，以駝運稽遲請罪，上貰之。 In year 35 he followed the emperor against Galdan, leaving by Dushikou; he asked pardon for slow camel transport, and the emperor excused him.

三十六年，復從上徵噶爾丹，噶爾丹竄死。 In year 36 he again followed the emperor against Galdan; Galdan fled and died.

時喀爾喀諸部避噶爾丹侵掠，舉族內鄉。 At that time the Khalkha tribes, fleeing Galdan's raids, moved their whole peoples inward.

烏珠穆沁台吉車根等叛附噶爾丹，命馬齊往按，寘諸法。 Chegen and other taiji of Ujimqin rebelled and joined Galdan; Ma Qi was sent to investigate and they were punished by law.

三十五年，上親征噶爾丹，命馬齊檄喀喇沁、翁牛特兵備戰。 In year 35, when the emperor campaigned in person against Galdan, Ma Qi was ordered to rally Kharchin and Onnigud troops for battle.

噶爾丹旋敗遁，詔來春复親出塞，命先期往寧夏安置驛站。 Galdan was soon defeated and fled; an edict said the emperor would again go beyond the passes in spring and ordered Ma Qi ahead to Ningxia to establish relay stations.

三十五年，上親征噶爾丹，鄂倫岱領漢軍兩旗火器營，出古北口。 In year 35, when the emperor campaigned in person against Galdan, Olondai led the firearms battalion of the two Han Brigade Chinese banners and marched out by Gubeikou.
