於成龍等議濬下游，與異議。 Yu Chenglong and others urged dredging the lower reaches, and the two sides clashed.

及上欲別任，則以於成龍方沐上眷，舉以應命，而成龍官止按察使，題奏權仍屬輔，此時未有阻撓意也。 When the emperor wanted another appointee, they nominated the favored Yu Chenglong, though he was only a surveillance commissioner and Fu still controlled memorials—at that point they had not yet meant to obstruct.

及輔張大其事，與成龍議不合，乃始一力阻撓。 When Fu inflated the project and clashed with Chenglong, he began to obstruct it with all his power.

會上謁陵，中途召于成龍入對，成龍盡發明珠、國柱等貪私。 While attending the tombs the emperor summoned Yu Chenglong en route; Chenglong fully exposed the corruption of Mingzhu, Guozhu, and their circle.

御史陳紫芝劾汧貪黷，命副都御史開音布會巡撫於成龍、馬齊覆訊，汧、澤深事倶實，復得澤深交結大學士餘國柱爲囑色楞額徇庇及汧遣人赴京行賄狀，下法司嚴議。 Censor Chen Zizhi impeached Zhang Gan for corruption; Vice Censor-in-Chief Kaiyinbu was sent with Governors Yu Chenglong and Ma Qi to reinvestigate; both men's guilt was confirmed, and investigators also uncovered Zeshen's dealings with Grand Secretary Yu Guozhu to secure Selenge's protection and Zhang Gan's bribery agents in the capital; the judiciary was ordered to rule severely.

二十六年，上謁陵，於成龍在道盡發明珠、餘國柱之私。 In year 26, during the imperial tomb visit, Yu Chenglong on the journey laid bare the secret dealings of Mingzhu and Yu Guozhu.

二十九年，代於成龍為直隸巡撫。 In Kangxi 29 (1690) he succeeded Yu Chenglong as governor of Zhili.

世隆之任，帝諭曰：「於成龍居官甚善，繼之不易，爾當勤慎任事。」 When Shilong took office, the emperor told him: "Yu Chenglong governed exceedingly well; succeeding him will not be easy—you must serve diligently and carefully."

陛辭，上諭曰：「爾當潔己奉公，督兩江無如於成龍者，爾效之可矣！」 At his farewell audience the emperor said: "Keep yourself pure and serve the public. Among Two Jiangs governors none equals Yu Chenglong—follow his example!"

兩江總督居官善者，於成龍而後，惟傅臘塔。」 Among Two Jiangs governors who served well, after Yu Chenglong there was only Fu Lata."
