Princess Xuezhigan, a granddaughter of Genghis, married Wochen's younger brother Consort Nachen. Grand Princess of Lu Wanzhe married Wochen's son Consort Woluozhen. Grand Princess of Lu Nangjiazhen, Kublai's daughter, married Nachen's son Tiemuer and later his younger brother Manzitai. Grand Princess of Lu Nan'abula, Zhenjin's daughter, married Manzitai. Princess Babaha'er, Güyük's daughter, married the Iduhu Huochiha'erdedijin, great-grandson of Barishu Aiertedijin. Princess Buluhan, Ögedei's granddaughter, married Huochiha'erdedijin's son Niulin'sijin, King of Gaochang. After her death, her younger sister Princess Babacha became the successor consort; when Babacha died as well, Princess Wulazhen, daughter of Kublai's grandson Ananda, Prince of Anxi, succeeded her. Princess Duo'erzhi Siman, daughter of Ögedei's son Kuoduan, married Timuer Buhua, King of Gaochang.

太祖命醜奴襲招燈必舍，追及平、灤，降之。 Genghis Khan ordered Chounu to pursue Zhaodeng Bishe. Overtaking him at Ping and Luan, Chounu forced his surrender.

太祖方西征，醜奴驛送竹箭弓弩弦各一萬，擢檀順昌平萬戶，仍管打捕鷹房人匠，卒於官。 While Genghis Khan was on campaign in the west, Chounu sent ten thousand each of bamboo arrows, bows, and bowstrings by relay post. He was promoted to Commander of the Ten Thousand Households of Tan, Shun, and Changping, still overseeing hunting falconers and artisans, and died in office.

兵至，拜住謂家人曰：「吾始祖海藍伯封河東公者，與太祖同事王可汗，太祖取王可汗，收諸部落，吾祖引數十騎馳西北方，太祖使人追問之，曰：'昔者與皇帝同事王可汗，王可汗今已滅，欲為之報仇，則帝乃天命； When the army arrived, Baizhu said to his household, "My founding ancestor Hailanbo, enfeoffed as Duke of Hedong, had served the First Emperor together with Wang Khan. When the First Emperor defeated Wang Khan and gathered the tribes, my ancestor led several dozen horsemen and galloped off to the northwest. The First Emperor sent men in pursuit to question him. He said, 'In former days I served the Emperor together with Wang Khan. Wang Khan is now destroyed. If I wished to avenge him, the Emperor holds Heaven's mandate;

欲改事帝，則吾心有所不忍，故避之於遠地，以沒吾生耳。 if I wished to turn and serve the Emperor, my heart could not bear it. Therefore I withdrew to a distant land to end my days there.'

蓋自太祖選貴臣子弟給事內廷，凡飲食、冠服、書記，上所常御者，各以其職典之，而命四大功臣世為之長，號四怯薛。 The reason lay in Taizu’s policy: he chose sons of eminent ministers to serve in the inner court. Everything the emperor routinely used — food and drink, caps and robes, written records — was kept by men assigned to those duties, while four great founding ministers and their descendants were made permanent chiefs of the establishment, known as the Four Kheshig.
