舊式，百日不上解官，吏部尚書尉瑾性褊急，以瞻舉指舒緩，曹務繁劇，遂附驛奏聞，因而被代。 Under the old rule, an official absent for one hundred days was removed. Minister of Personnel Wei Jin was narrow and impatient; because Zhan moved slowly while bureau business was heavy and urgent, Wei sent a memorial by post, and Zhan was replaced.

尉瑾，字安仁。 Yu Jin, styled Anren.

瑾少而敏悟，好學慕善。 From youth Jin was quick-witted, loved study, and sought what was good.

司馬子如執政，瑾取其外生皮氏女，由此擢拜中書舍人。 When Sima Ziru held power, Jin married his maternal niece of the Pi clan and was promoted secretariat vice-director.

世宗入朝，因命瑾在鄴北宮共高德正典機密。 When Gao Cheng came to court, Jin was ordered to Ye's northern palace to manage confidential affairs with Gao Dezheng.

肅宗輔政，累遷吏部尚書。 When Gao Yan assisted in government, Jin rose repeatedly to minister of personnel.

瑾外雖通顯，內闕風訓，閨門穢雜，為世所鄙。 Outwardly Jin was eminent, but at home he lacked moral discipline; his inner quarters were foul and disorderly, and the age despised him.
