定國少學法於父,父死,後定國亦為獄中、郡決曹,補廷尉史,以選與御史中丞從事治反者獄,以材高舉侍御史,遷御史中丞。 Dingguo studied law under his father as a youth. After his father died, Dingguo too served in the prison office and the commandery sentencing bureau, became a clerk of the commandant of justice, and by selection assisted the imperial counselor in treason cases. For his outstanding ability he was recommended as attendant imperial counselor and then promoted to imperial counselor.
