廣明之亂，劉為巢將尚讓所得，巢敗，讓攜劉降於時溥，及讓誅，時溥納劉於妓室。 In the Guangming disorders she was seized by Huang Chao's general Shang Rang; after Chao's fall Rang surrendered her to Shi Pu, and when Rang was killed Pu kept her among his entertainers.

及翔漸貴，劉猶出入太祖臥內，翔情禮稍薄，劉於曲室讓翔曰：「卿鄙餘曾失身於賊耶，以成敗言之，尚讓巢之宰輔，時溥國之忠臣，論卿門第，辱我何甚，請從此辭！」 As Xiang rose, Liu still visited the Founder's bedchamber; Xiang's affection cooled. In private she reproached him: "Do you scorn me for having served rebels? Shang Rang was Huang Chao's chancellor and Shi Pu a loyal minister of the state—and by your own birth, how deeply you insult me! I will leave you!"

景福初，時溥大舉來攻宿州，言勇於野戰，喜逢大敵，自引銳兵擊溥，殺傷甚眾，徐戎乃退。 Early in Jingfu, Shi Pu besieged Suzhou in force; Yan, who loved open battle, led his best men against Pu, inflicted heavy losses, and drove the Xu army off.

太祖破徐州，得時溥寵姬劉氏，愛幸之，劉氏故尚讓妻也，乃以妻翔。 After taking Xuzhou Taizu seized Shi Pu’s favorite concubine, Lady Liu, and doted on her; she had been Shang Rang’s wife, and Taizu gave her to Xiang in marriage.

時溥，國之忠臣。 Shi Pu was a loyal servant of the realm.

梁攻徐州，遣珍先攻下豐縣，又敗時溥於吳康，與李唐賓等屯蕭縣。 In Liang’s assault on Xuzhou, Zhen first took Feng County, then beat Shi Pu at Wukang and camped at Xiao County with Li Tangbin and the rest.

太祖攻時溥未下，留兵屬師古守之，師古取其宿遷，進屯呂梁。 Taizu besieged Shi Pu without success and left Shigu to hold the line. Shigu took Suqian and pushed forward to Luliang.

溥以兵二萬出戰，師古敗之，斬首二千級。 Pu marched out with twenty thousand men; Shigu routed him and took two thousand heads.

郴王友裕攻徐州，朱瑾以兵救時溥，友裕敗溥於石佛山，瑾收余兵去。 Prince of Chen Youyu attacked Xuzhou. Zhu Jin marched to save Shi Pu. Youyu crushed Pu at Mount Shifo; Jin gathered what was left and withdrew.

師古攻破徐州，斬溥，太祖表師古徐州留後。 Shigu stormed Xuzhou, killed Pu, and Taizu memorialized to make him its military governor.

從朱珍掠淄青、龐師古攻時溥，皆有功。 With Zhu Zhen in Ziqing and Pang Shigu against Shi Pu he won credit in both campaigns.

朱珍與李唐賓俱死，乃以龐師古代珍、存代唐賓以攻溥，破碭山，存獲其將石君和等五十人。 After Zhu Zhen and Li Tangbin died, Pang Shigu took Zhen’s command and Cun took Tangbin’s to attack Pu. They broke Mount Dang; Cun captured fifty men, including the general Shi Junhe.

太祖曰：「瑾來必與時溥俱，不若遣存邀之。」 Taizu said: “Jin will come with Shi Pu—send Cun to intercept them.”

存伏兵蕭縣，已而瑾果與溥俱出迷離，存發伏擊之，遂敗瑾等於石佛山，存中流矢卒。 Cun hid men at Xiao County. Jin and Pu came out together at Mili; Cun sprang the trap and crushed them at Mount Shifo. He took an arrow and died.

梁軍攻時溥於徐州，遣會別攻宿州，刺史張筠閉城距守，會堰汴水浸其東，城壞，筠降。 Liang besieged Shi Pu at Xu and sent Hui against Su. Prefect Zhang Yun barred the gates. Hui dammed the Bian to flood the east wall; the wall gave way and Yun surrendered.
