以安端主東丹國，封明王，察割為泰寧王，劉哥為惕隱，高勛為南院樞密使。 Anduan was set to rule the Dongdan state and enfeoffed as Prince of Ming; Chage was made Prince of Taining; Liu Ge was made tiyin; and Gao Xun was made Southern Palace Commissioner.

即遣燕王牒哷、樞密使高勛冊為大漢神武皇帝。 He at once sent Prince of Yan Dielie and Palace Secretariat Commissioner Gao Xun to invest him as Emperor Shenwu of Great Han.

丁酉，與政事令蕭排押、南京留守高勛、太師昭古、劉承訓等酣飲，連日夜。 On dingyou day he went on a binge with Affairs commissioner Xiao Paiya, Nanjing garrison commander Gao Xun, Grand Preceptor Zhaogu, Liu Chengxun, and others, drinking day and night without letup.

己巳，穆宗遇弒，帝率飛龍使女裏、侍中蕭思溫、南院樞密使高勛率甲騎千人馳赴。 On jisi day Muzong was assassinated; the Emperor led Flying Dragon Commissioner Nüli, Palace Attendant Xiao Siwen, and Southern Chancellery Commissioner Gao Xun at the head of a thousand armored horsemen in haste to the scene.

己亥，南院樞密使高勛封秦王。 On jihai day Southern Chancellery Commissioner Gao Xun was enfeoffed as Prince of Qin.

高勛，字鼎臣，晉北平王信韜之子。 Gao Xun, whose style name was Dingchen, was a son of Xin Tao, Prince of Beiping under the Jin.

五年，劉崇遣使來求封冊，詔勛冊崇為大漢神武皇帝。 In the fifth year Liu Chong sent envoys requesting formal investiture, and the court ordered Xun to invest him as Emperor Shenwu of Great Han.

會宋欲城益津，勛上書請假巡僥以擾之，帝然其奏，宋遂不果城。 When Song planned to fortify Yijin, Xun memorialized asking permission to patrol the frontier and harass their works. The emperor approved, and Song abandoned the project.

十七年，宋略地益津關，勛擊敗之，知南院樞密事。 In the seventeenth year, when Song forces seized ground around the Yijin passes, Xun defeated them and was appointed Director of Southern Chancellery Council affairs.

景宗即位，以定策功，進王秦。 When Emperor Jingzong ascended the throne, Xun was advanced to Prince of Qin for his role in securing the succession.

林邪耶律昆宣言於朝曰：「高勛此奏，必有異志。 Academician Yelu Kun declared at court, "Gao Xun's proposal surely conceals ulterior motives.

晉亡歸遼，當太宗崩、世宗立，恟渙不定，澣與高勛等十餘人羈留南京。 When the Jin fell he entered Liao service. As Emperor Taizong died and Emperor Shizong was enthroned, the realm was unsettled, and Han with Gao Xun and more than ten others were detained at the Southern Capital.

時高勛已為樞密使，救止之。 By then Gao Xun was Commissioner of the Bureau of Military Affairs and stopped the execution.
